You are right about 1 thing. You are MR WRONG.

It's still April, but we are already getting the scoreboard watching and wild card standings updates. We should be grateful for that much.

Sort of like Grissom, until he finally shows up, maybe this week.

Red Sox just picked up Garret Cooper from Chicago to take over for Casas.

For Cash. Tough to let him go for Henry.

Sox acquire Garrett Cooper.

Seems like excellent news.

Just as suggested.

Note: it does not make us right, either.

Suggesting the Red Sox pick up Garrett Cooper, or CJ Cron with the sad state of affairs the Red Sox 1B was in was pretty obvious, and logical.Real moot to all the suggestions, or what ever you want to call most that go on here that Never happen. Real bad example to the main point.

JRod designated for assignment and Uwa coming up. JRod over the Bern Man should have never made the club out of ST in the first place.

Now there's a point I think we're all in agreement on.

Run differential is another meaningless stat. Its skewed by our most recent win.

It should be capped at +/- 9.

Other teams have lop-sided wins, too. If you take away ours, then take theirs away, too.

Of course, most teams don't have a 17 run win, but some have large ones.

(Our biggest loss was 7-0.)

he is another meh player but he will be an upgrade over Dalbec.

If he can hit .750 as compared to the .350 Dalbec was hitting, plus .400 is a major improvement.

It's all relative. (Also, our 1B OPS for the season is .763.)

I wouldn't say it's meaningless, but you can definitely make a case that its importance is way overstated, especially with the playoff crapshoot we now have. Last year Arizona with a -15 differential took out the Dodgers and their +207 differential in 3 straight.

Not the most authoritative of hits, mind you. Still, they did require contacting the baseball.

Lots of stats are meaningless without knowing the full picture. The Red Sox are 10th in runs scored, but have about 10 games having only scored 2 runs, or less. Some guys like NOshida, and the RAF Man padded their stats somewhat yesterday, but they certainly haven’t been that good as what their stats are today.

Two of them on ground balls that barely traveled 60 feet and a third hit was off a backup infielder. Not much there to indicate he’s actually hitting the ball any better.

And yet in spite of all that, he still might not get demoted. Because Hamilton and Reyes are still on the team, too…

True, but a small improvement is better than it was at this point. A batting Ave starting with an 0 is not very major league.

At least he’s been making the routine plays at 3B/1B, which is something the others weren’t doing.

The betting shows must have taken a bath on those odds, with LA giving 222 "runs" -- plus, don't forget, "for every five dollars you blow, we promise to light a match and burn 150 more of your bank account dollars."
