  1. Yes, exactly. I have high hopes for AR, it would be great to have a star-level catcher again. The injury concerns are obviously very real.
  2. Bregman has been on fire. As has Devers. But the Sox have gone 47-19 and Durbin has played very well and is much cheaper, so Brez is in the clear for now. 😄
  3. To me it's probably a "hitting is hard for all but a few" glitch. Durbin was really hot for a while, pitchers get all the data and make changes in how they pitch you, hitter has to re-adapt.
  4. Maybe at ten cents on the dollar.
  5. The 2026 Sox have an amazing number of former Yankee properties. I use the word properties to include guys like Durbin and Whitlock who never played for their big team.
  6. Offseason works too. Yes he deserves it.
  7. Baz is 5-15 with a 3.91 ERA. That is some brutal luck.
  8. Bennett has been an incredible bonus. I thought he might be due to flame out, but he had other ideas.
  9. Sometimes guys tweak to try to get a little better but it messes them up instead. Or maybe he tweaked when he was in a slump. Who knows. Hitting major league pitching is just really freaking hard, right?
  10. Sorry but gotta disagree. Duran was very good in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and that's why the Sox stuck with him. I think he was having some severe mechanical issues with his swing, and hopefully he has now figured it out.
  11. You can see that Duran has a funky little mechanical routine that is all about timing, and I'm sure he has spent countless hours on it.
  12. We have often talked about losing winnable games. This Sox team has lately been winning quite a few losable games.
  13. Tracy's in-game managing seems rock solid to me. There has been a virtual absence of beeching about him.
  14. I think the 1B made the right decision. The throw was just a little off.
  15. It's notable that the team stuck with him so long, just kept plugging him in the lineup. They obviously figured he would turn it around. Makes me think it's a well managed team.
  16. Great stuff, you just have been a hippie LOL. I love the Kinks as well. Ray Davies is a phenomenal lyric writer.
  17. No, it was an anniversary date with my wife. It was a tripleheader - Jefferson Starship, Kansas and Deep Purple. Turned out to be a great night of music. These old geezers can still play. Purple's keyboard player, Don Airey, was especially amazing.
  18. What about the Absolutely Smoked %?
