  1. Just have a set lineup for a couple of weeks would be a novel idea IMO. Duran has been pretty much an everyday player for a few years now, and so has Masa. What Cora had done these 20+ games hasn’t worked. Not everyone has to play, or get days off at this point in the season. Even Abreu who was the best hitter early on has been as bad as anyone lately. Outside of an injury I don’t see any big roster moves, or positional changes in the near future.
  2. He hit one of his ping pong grounders over a drawn in infield the other day, and you were touting Masa for Mayor.🙈
  3. Coulda, woulda, shoulda. Sounds like lots of settling to me, which I said before the season even started.
  4. The way I look at it is the Red Sox are 5 GB. 5 GB just to get to 500, and if you can’t do that it doesn’t matter what all the other teams are doing, or looking at any wildcard dreams.
  5. I’m certainly not sticking up for Duran, but Cora doesn’t help things with his different lineup pretty much every day. I don’t see that’s worked out to good. To say Duran doesn’t deserve to play you’re leaving out others to be right with him.
  6. Just like all those gaudy OPS stats you was talking up in spring training. Especially Duran’s.
  7. The only thing he’s grinding is to keep his average above 100.
  8. But he supposed to be a big production guy according to all his hype. Maybe he needs to go back down to Woo, and see if he can hit again.
  9. Useless, and meaningless stat. little Anthony for instance has 1 HR, and 4 RBI for the season, which is a lot more telling on how he’s done. Stood there TMTC with the bat on his shoulder looking at a called third strike go by. The eye test is a lot more telling than everyone’s measuring stick the OPS. What does Abreu’s OPS look like compared to what has he done for the team lately. Two different stories. Ops isn’t all it’s made out to be.
  10. That was the biggest talking point on another talk show yesterday prior to the game about Cora having so many different lineups, and how it makes it harder to get going for the players in, and out of the lineup the most.
  11. Agree on Chapman. Not the same pitcher early on as last year, didn’t expect him to be.
  12. The Bruins crapped their pants at the end of the game last night, but they did outscore the Red Sox.
  13. The Red Sox have scored 3 conventional runs the last 3 days, so they will probably break out today, score a bunch of runs, and make their stats look better than they really are.🤫
  14. I mentioned this past offseason more than once that after Cro Man’s first heavy workload of innings last year if it would have any effect on him this year.
  15. Luckily, and deservedly so for the Red Sox they are on the back burner of Boston sports right now. The Celtics, and B’s start their postseason tomorrow, and the NFL draft is next week for the Pats.
  16. RAF Man has moved up, but not enough to me.
  17. Is Casas still on the team, or traded?
  18. If Casas would have stayed healthy, and I know that’s a big if do you think Casas would be the 1B today?
  19. Cora’s radar? It took Cora a long time to get Kike off SS, and he was just a stopgap.
  20. Why would he talk to Devers? Devers was the 3B. Casas was the 1B, so Cora maybe unlike you didn’t see a need to change anything, so I don’t wonder at all, and never did. Same with asking Bogey to move.
  21. I read an article yesterday on theories why Cora does things the way he does. Of course one is Cora doesn’t want to upset his players, and another was Cora just believes in the seniority aspect of how he does things. Could be one, or the other, or a combination of the two.
  22. Most people don’t have say, and neither do any of us on here. This is Cora’s decision, and Corahas his own way of doing things.
  23. I’m not disagreeing with you, but Cora does things his own way for whatever reason, or reasons, and I don’t see Mayer being moved to SS anytime soon outside of a major injury to Story.
  24. I agree, and that’s why I said IF they view him more as a 2B/3B going forward with someone else viewed as the long term SS like Arias. I’m definitely not viewing Mayer as the automatic SS of the future, but like you said we don’t know at this time.
