  1. Can we send the Tigers our Jahmai ?? He's good at interviewss
  2. Here is another factor . Accept the fact that Breslow thinks ( and maybe) the highest IQ guy in the room, not necessarily the best baseball man. He also has a big ego, I am guessing. The team he put on the field , for whatever reason, worst in MLB through 80 games, half a season . Then, his BOYS came alive and made an improbable run to change the perception. Breslow right now must feel motivated and rewarded by the "process". He will not be a willing seller in bulk because he must validate his earlier judgements . He will be a buyer if the Sox get to August 1-3 and can maintain position . To do anything else would be to admit it was a bad roster, or use the injuries to Anthony, Crochet, Story etc as an excuse for the season. Craig will not want to admit anything, so he will try to buy a bat or two, maybe a reliever and hope the Anthony-Crochet team can play . He will let the players on the field succeed or fail .
  3. I am not a Brayan Bello fan, but he could be a surprise factor for either the Red Sox or another team. He has shown that he can pitch at the MLB level, and is apparently durable ( AVAILABLE) . His contract is not a burden to a competing team. I think you can get a hitter for him to take over DH duties. OR The Sox may well need to keep him because the Tolle-Bennett-Early train may get stalled worse than just Early soon. 68 more starts needed ,that is 13 each per 5 starters plus 3 openers., then the playoffs . Crochet is effectively missing over 60% of this season with no real prognosis on a return. If Suarez can pull his groin midseason, he can do it again on any subsequent start. Bello may actually be the best Sox trade chip but also the key to sustaining the pitching staff through the season end. Final note, if they do not want to quit on the season, they will also keep Gray who otherwise could get you a hitter.
  4. Tolle with a good but limited start, however, Bello got effective multi-innings setting up the ultimate come from behind finish
  5. Much credit to Chapman and more to Whitlock !!
  6. Huge move going to the break.. Mets owner suite is on fire
  7. More like a penguin shuffle, but it counts
  8. Who can make the run stand up ?
  9. Finally get Yoshi and he hits into a lightning DP . Hit it anywhere left or right and it's a 2 run single. But it isn't over yet
  10. Duran getting lucky, but it all counts
  11. A single here would be a great hit
  12. The positive for today may be that Bello shows he can pitch in long relief, throwing strikes with lots of movement. He could help going forward or we could get some value for him
  13. This still winnable game smells so much like April-May-June losing , no offense games. I am having flashbacks to last place nights
  14. I know. ghe whole game feels very lazy approach. resting on the recent success. Not a smart approach
