  1. Early showed up on time and pitched his 7 inning shutout. Whit and Chappie sealed his win. Good game and win
  2. What do Story and Mayer see when a spinning ball comes toward the plate. A couple of weak ABs
  3. Or the FOs inability to judge young talent. Bres thought he was stealing one wth Durbin
  4. Giving credit where due, thanks to Greg Weissert for openly admitting he pitched like s***. The first step in any recovery program is to admit the failure and accept that change is needed. Way to go , Greg, you are on the way !
  5. Over the last 14 games the Red Sox are 7-7 , which may reflect what they are., a .500 team, which needs to go 6 over, just to be .500 The 2=8 start is still the deficit. does anyone actually miss AC or think the 7-7 record would be any different if they had retained Cora ? Tracy seems to have kept an even keel so far . It seems obvious that he is getting direction from the FO analysts , maybe direct from Breslow. I would love to know who is making the calls on the sequencing of relievers. The batting orders are more consistent and make some sense.
  6. Once again TB shows Sox how to play baseball
  7. Yoshi back to chopping wood. worm burning. This does not look like the team that was in Detroit
  8. A reliever should not be asked to go 50 pitches. I understand that Tracy was trying to steal an inning and rest the others. Cora did that as well. But it stinks of giving up. Sox were only down 2 , now 4.
  9. Caminero makes the comeback a little tougher
  10. But Weissert and Kelly will be available. maybe Mickey Gaspar too
  11. Durbin's neck is too short for him to play at MLB level.
  12. Shirt of a big time rally and appearance by Chapman thi feels like one of those "soft" losses where the team kind of blahs out, reliever slops it up snd no one gets a key hit Sox do not play their best at Fenway any more
  13. 3 batters, 3 runners and 2 runs. NO OUTS.. FU. Weissert
  14. Weissert again unable to command the strike zone. He is a throeer. nothing more.
  15. The inevitable happens with Anthony getting a 10 day vacation , followed by time to get back up to speed. All on a check swing. I assume that when his bobblehead comes out , it will be a Hummel .
  16. Bennett getting an education in Rays baseball. Time to see if Sox can comeback at home.
  17. The Rays have always been frusrating because of their consistent relative success over a long period with a dump of a ballpark and a very low budget. Then the Sox tried Bloom and there was no magic. Must have been Kevin Cash But, they always have a pitcher to run out there. Finally with Bennett, Tolle and Early, the Red Sox may be matching them
  18. As he does his usual Spring slow start , his true personality and attitude show up. Man-boy crybaby Got to get him on a warm weather team like Miami where the press will laud him en Espanol.
  19. Not a picture perfect game except for the defensive saves, BUT a series sweep was a great move forward. The record at Fenway is worse than the road recird. Time to start winning home series
  20. I said back in early ST that we would not be seeing Casas again. One more of the Red Sox high potential flameouts that got seriously sidetracked
  21. Pretty poor in first ten games. Much better since and making big plays
