  1. VBreslow has done a good job with adding {and keeping} young SP in the organization. It really should not be impossible to now add some decent bats in some of the holes wee have but of course that means JH might have to open his wallet bit--good luck with that.
  2. i wouldn't trade Mayer either but given that he is still under control and not making much there is little chance of that happening. There is even LESS chance though of Henry bucking up any big bats and we need at LEAST 2 if not more.
  3. my math could be off but i believe the Sox W.L record since DD was fired is 471-471. is anyone surprised??
  4. does anyone actually think 2027 will be better even if there is baseball. I for one could care less if there is baseball in 2027 as i have actually watched about 3-4 Sox games this year. I could care less about the Sox as you may tell from my absence from here for the most part. I have been a sox fan for close to 50 years but does JH actually care if I have lost interest in this team. I doubt it.
  5. Chapman is simply a rental and as a result will likely only bring back a decent but not great prospect.
  6. exactly the type of BBB the Sox likely will add
  7. Wow these guys look promising. Breslow has failed on many fronts but adding young pitching prospects has been his best work in this area. Mullins and Eyanson especially look good. I like that both guys have great secondary pitches along with a good fastball.
  8. yeah he's a stud who will lead us to the promised land
  9. and your suggestion on how to fix this mess is.........?
  10. given the Red Sox revenue one would hope so. Spending smartly now that's a different story but by all means keep going on and defending JH. You are pretty much a lone wolf on here.
  11. It is moves like this that get RSN upset. And even when we make good additions like Bregman,, Contreras, Gray they are almost all for only 1 yr and done. Chapman is the exception but he needs to be shipped at the deadline for a quality prospect or two and then resigned in the offseason for another 1 yr.
  12. Henry doesn't spend enough money but the buffoons [Bloom, Breslow,] have WASTED significant $$ on low risk re-hab pitchers and the like.
  13. i am sick to death of Weissert. he almost never strand any inherited runners. Complete trash.
  14. did you not say Sandal would be in the rotation?? Chalk him up to another of the Sox low risk-NO reward P signings that flopped.
  15. No introduction needed so here it goes: Catcher-D 1st Base-B 2nd Base-C Shortstop-D 3rd Base=F LF-Duran-F CF-Raefael-C+ RF- Abreu- B+ SP- B- Bullpen-B-
  16. i am not complying about Conteras but a .253 avg with about a 33% K rate doesn't qualify as GREAT in my books., But he is WAY DOWN the list of issues this team has. Myself I'd give him a B grade.
  17. 5should have capitalized the whole post mr math teacher lol
  18. i didn't say he was a bad move just that he wasn't really a GREAT move.
  19. we NEED to be sellers and the QUICKER THE BETTER. Contreras, Chapman, Gray, and Duran should able to return some young cost controlled talent THAT JOHN HENRY craves.
