JH will always want to reset, soon after spending bigly, so keep that in mind when looking for long term sustainable plans.

It's why Othani isn't coming here. Some other pitcher? Maybe.

Everyone will want to reset under the new CBA.....except maybe the Mets. Even they be reconsidering after this season, which if they are...they're screwed.

Ohtani is a great player but he will not be worth the massive contract he is going to get. I would be very worried about an arm injury

Ohtani at least has a built in Plan B. He might have arm issues that prevent him from pitching, but unlike Sale, that might not render him useless.

Of course there is the delicate balance of determining whether or not swinging a bat hinders any pitching arm recovery…

Snell. I’m going with the Bloom Connection…

If he gets TJS, he's not hitting until he's done with his entire rehab. There's no way an action as violent as swinging doesn't impede his road to being able to pitch again. He gets TJS, that's two full seasons up in smoke right there from both sides of the ball.

The $313.5 million extension for Devers is a start.

Bloom promised last winter he will surround Devers with talent. He didn't say what kind of talent, so... poets? Sculptors? Plumbers?

Spaceman once asked: "What's really more important -- a good plumber or getting Rod Carew out with the bases loaded?"

Blake the Snake has given up 4 runs in his last 53 innings pitched.

He's thrown over 130 Innings once in his career. Pass...

Snell's a great baseball player. During the pandemic, neither my kid nor any of his friends could ever beat Snell in The Show.

Fernando in RBI Baseball or John Dowd in MVP Baseball.

Then he’s the perfect target if the Sox have a series against your kid and his friends…

Don’t blame me. Blame Bloom. I don’t get to make the moves…

I am almost positive Hang’em Chaim would enjoy it

He's been know to give self-wedgies, from time-to-time.

But he only does what he told to do by JH, as we all know.

His coffee is almost as good as Ben's.

Maybe it'll be twice after this year. I think his average is at least trending up.

Turner at 2B. And Chang at short.

No kike.

It helps hide Chang's low offense and improves SS defense, but I'm not sure about the loss in 2B defense offset.

When Story comes back, Story at SS and Turner at 2B creates an awesome line-up:

1. Duran CF

2. Turner 2B

3. Devers 3B

4. Yoshida DH

5. Story SS

6. Verdugo RF

7. Duvall LF

8. Casas 1B

9. Wong C

I really like this lineup if we get a healthy story and his timing is straight

Casas Turner Chang Devers (2) infielders all hitting HR. Duval with homer. Duran being Duran. Add another single turned to double. OPS now nearing 900. Yoshida with 7th consecutive multiple hit games.

Bello being the future ace.

Pretty good day.

I will be in Wrigley Sunnday.

Matt Barnes to have season ending hip surgery.

Nice extension given out by Bloom couple of years ago. 2 years, $18M+.

Miami will decline the 24' option year and pay him off the $2M+. Nice knowing you.

I like Bloom and I don't want him gone but he has made plenty of mistakes.

I just don't want someone coming in start trading away our prospects.

Barnes is a very forgivable mistake by Bloom. Not that much money in relative terms. And his demise was not really predictable.

GMs are usually judged in hindsight, even if they sign the healthiest player ever, only to see him get hurt. It’s still the GM’s fault.

Yep. Comes with the territory, and none are exempt. And we're always right, here in our armchairs.
