    i'm guessing they want to give that up if they're going to have give up a year (or more) of arb years. why invest so much time and trouble developing a kid drafted out of high school just to lose him that much sooner? outside of the very rare exception, i don't like the idea of drafting high school kids anyway.

    yeah, but he had enough sense to know you needed hitters. specifically, power hitters like Manny and Papi that could do some instant damage. with Bloom -the ultimate nerd- you get Masataka Yoshida. 😂

    and then hire more guys like Kyle Boddy WHO NEVER WENT TO BAT IN A MAJOR LEAGUE GAME IN HIS LIFE as hitting instructors and tell the players to ignore guys like Jim Rice. because nerds, thats why.

    dude....don't you know those are old school back-of-the-baseball-card stats and don't matter. why? because, that's why. today you have to look at BABIPs and FIPS, OPS+, SqUpCon, SqUpSw and launch angles and barrels and hard-hit rate and soft-hit rate, splits, handstands and somersaults. because the nerds, thats why. somewhere along the way, John Henry forgot what won 4 championships.

    we need to get somebody. there is no way we don't lose one of our projected starters to injury. send Bennett to AAA until he's needed if we have to.

    it will have been a helluva price to pay if he's not extended. the trade capital we spent was already too much for 1 1/3 seasons of this guy.

    Breslow has already bragged that seven players set career highs in HRs including 5 by Sogard and 3 by Siegler. 😂 what a clown.

    Bresloverpay has already squandered all of our trade capital. other than Arias, there isn't much to deal.

    i'd love to have Gray back. and i'd love for the Sox to sign Skubal, but i don't expect either to happen. the bottom line and "winning contracts" are FAR more important to Henry than winning championships.

    you do know the Mets, Yankees, Phillies and Dodges are all interested in him, right? and they don't do the fake "interested" ******** like Breslow does with every FA.

    since this was their opening proposal, they are clearly open to a higher number. nobody opens a deal like this with their final take-it-or-leave-it offer. i'm guessing they would go to at least $275M.
