Not to kick a player when he's down but Duggie came in on a game ending fly ball then fell flat on his face trying to go back on the same play. Good job bud.

MassLive has an article on Duggie about that last play. Wow, everyone is enjoying his misery.

As we should be. To me that slow, show-off jaunt around the bases against the Sox was childish.

that is ok. we will be drafting another 2B with our 1st rd pick today

Tennessee’s 2nd baseman Christian Moore has been linked and mocked to Boston at 12 as much as anyone.

He might be the best offensive player in this draft. He was arguably the best NCAA hitter and did it on the big stage leading Tennessee to a World Series.

Might be able to play CF as well.

However the rumors today are Washington might have a deal with him at #10

Moore had four of the seven hardest hit balls of the college world series. Led D1 in hits.

The Red Sox should draft him just so we can all post that he can always be traded some day for pitching.

Even though Boston never trades middle infield prospects for pitchers, we need to be able to say they will, over and over again every year.

Only 5 teams in MLB have less losses than the Sox.

Some say the league is weak.

Some say we only beat bad teams.

Some say letting our stars go makes having fun very difficult.

Some point to this weakness or that as reason to lose hope.

Look at 4 of the 5 teams with less losses:

LAD 1 less loss

NYY 2 less

BAL 4 less

CLE 5 less

Note: we are tied in losses with the mighty Braves, led by some stud named Sale.

We are also tied with M & Ms:

MIN & MIL

The fact that they didn’t do something doesn’t mean they can’t.

Sox could have signed Ohtani, or Max Scherzer once upon a time.

With that said. Yesavage would be a fine pick

Hard rumors that LAA going with more, and if doesn’t go there I think Washington takes him. So it doesn’t matter anyways

I get what you're saying, but they really can't trade middle infield prospects for pitching if other teams refuse to deal arms for middle infielders.

Sox fans wouldn't fret so much about this, if they were confident ownership would still pay market prices for top of the rotation free agents.

Is that really the issue? Sox offer guys like Mayer for pitching and teams don’t want him? Or is it the Sox don’t want to swing a trade?

I wouldn’t fret so much about it if the Sox show they can develop a starter

Really starting to look like one of Rainer/Griffin/Yesavage will be there for 12 unless they go 9-10-11

Trey Yesavage would make the fans happy, as he is a pitcher.

Those were my top 3 preferences going into today

Take a pitcher and pay him to run away and star in Breslow and Bailey's Greatest Show On Earth.

As long as it’s not a highschool pitcher

I like Yesavage but I want Rainer. Montgomery on the board still but I don’t like his swing and miss.

Rainer is no longer an option..

It’s an outfielder haha.

The FG chat had spoilers 2-3 picks ahead and got every one right until the Boston pick. First false rumor of the day, originally they had Cam Smith going to Boston

Montgomery was a top 8 on many boards. Not a huge bargain to get him 12. But nice to just take the top guy available…

Monty! Switch-hitter! So when he makes it, the batting order can't be too left-handed or too right-handed...

Some concerns of his bat from the right side haha.

Might just be another LHH

they drafted a guy that's injured. but healing nicely. LOLOLOLOL. gotdamn what a bunch of f***ing idiots.

Spoiler alert, broke bones heal, and draftees don’t go straight to MLB

duh. i just think it's hilarious that they drafted a guy that was injured. they literally paid Paxton and Hendricks to rehab as well as Adalberto who never even played a f***ing game for the Sox. brilliant signing there. then they trade Sale because well....he got hurt a lot. but wasn't hurt when they traded him. so....they traded him for spite or to save $10M. i hope the guy is an all-star. and, on the bright side...he's not a HS "suspect".
