Based on the weather forecast it looks like another day/nighter on Wednesday. However, both teams have Thursday off, so maybe they'll play an afternoon game on Thursday. That seems more likely.

Hopefully, the game can be played tomorrow.

Baseball is too random to sustain long streaks.

I don't think he meant any harm by his point.

I do think this team is a force to be reckoned with, even if we have a little rough spot.

Since there is no results carryover from a given game to the next. each game is a discreet event not a continuum of outcomes.

It looks like a streak to us because we can view each event simultaneously and relate the cumulative outcomes.

The RS are just as likely to win the next game as to lose it without regard to the string of independent outcomes of each game. Ignoring suspended  games, there are only 2 outcomes--win or lose

I think your analysis is wrong because you are dealing with human beings and their performance, human beings with memory and superstition; you're not dealing with a coin flip.

My favorite streak was during the 'todd Bellinger' years (two of them), when after flailing about for a half-year and me deciding just to relax and root for .500, they went something like 22-1.   Until this streak, I remembered that as 20-0.

I remember that name.  He was the manager of the 1965 Twins team that lost to the Dodgers in the World Series in 7.

We've been seeing a lot of great defensive plays, and Cheng's was one.

Our offense has really stepped it up, but pitching and defense is still leading the way on this team.

Except for Fred's trolling, I assume that no one means any harm.  TBH, I often like when posters take a position that I consider illogical.  That means it is time for a debate.  That's the time I get to teach, or get taught.  I enjoy learning things that I'd have considered counterintuitive.

I knew he was really intense and was a power/glove guy. I didn't realize he was going to completely ball out and play like a maniac. Sox should have acquired him years ago. Red Sox need players with fire in their bellies.
