The Red Sox need only a two-game winning streak to advance.

So you're thinking the Sox are back at  June 25th ?  Always possible, highly unlikely

How ‘bout them Mariners!

After entering year with sky-high expectations, the Mariners flopped with the most disappointing season in this poster's 64 years of following baseball.

Hats off to the Red Sox for posting a better record than the Mariners for the second time in the seven seasons of the 2020s.

The Mariners sucked. The Flops were mediocre with the exception of a couple of winning streaks.
Honestly-I think I’d rather the flops just sucked. That way our GM gets fired in favor of an upgrade and no stupid trades get made trying to salvage an unsalvigeable season

That’s what it’s like when teams in your division have a winning record every year…

We can complain/bitch/whatever about Tracy’s choices re. the pen, but 3 hits and 4 baserunners in 9 innings doesn’t win you many games.

Don't forget the zero runs. No runs will lose you every game.

Sox OF don’t typically make great throws.

That’s why their MLB lead in assists was so small…

Other than injury this was the worst possible outcome.  I kinda of knew we would lose, I was really hoping it would be 2-0 and not an embarrassment.  Yankees young building blocks delivered, ours went 0-2.

Bogaerts is hitting post season HRs.  Who needs him!  We have Story.

good thing we didn't sign Alonso. god forbid Henry spend the money to get a bat that can do some damage. why do that when you can hope and pray a bunch of AAA scrubs come through.

Total slaughter. Hard to find any silver lining.

It was long over before Gamboa and Olds came in, but neither of these two need to be on the 40 next spring.

It was disheartening, but tonight is another game. Maybe they will all eat their Wheaties this morning.

He's good and the Sox offense is bad right now. A lethal combination for scoring.

It’s always good when the Shlit Man dominates, and beats the Red Sox especially in the postseason. The guy literally pitched next door in college, and even betters he lets Red Sox fans hear about it.👏

The difference between Rice and Anthony is that the Yankees' young star is a legitimate big league home run hitter. The Red Sox' young ster is just sore.

The big problem wasn't NY pitching -- the Astros, at home with their MVP batter, lost to the White Sox and Boston mound rejects Hicks, Newcombe and Sandlin.

Red Sox management told their players to take it easy in September in order to rest up for October. The issue is that it's still September until tomorrow.

Someone push that button, quick!

Talked about on the airwaves this morning just like last year on how a guy who pitched next door to Fenway ended up with the Yankees.🤫

There was an article in the Wall Street Journal yesterday about how local guys Schlittler and Rice were now the Sox worst nightmare.  Yikes.

A 7th round pick, and a 12th round pick. High picks like Mayer don’t always turn out, and sometimes guys like these two do.

They may regret being turncoats.

Can't do much about which team drafts you.

And what team doesn’t, which in these two cases was the Red Sox. Not turncoats whatsoever.

Haven’t read all the comments, but WTF does a manager pull his starter with 5 scattered hits over 4.2 with 1 run and 83 tosses? Unless he’s gassed, which I don’t think he was, he should’ve gone 6-7 like CS did. You lean on your starters all year and then a quick hook in the playoffs makes absolutely zero sense. Then bring in basically the same dude but much worse?
we’ve got s*** for offense so we should be leaning on the starters. Dumb. Just dumb.

also, is Roman, going forward, just going to be a soft player or is this a real injury that he NEEDS to rest it. I’m not sure . We’ll see.

hopefully Tracy learned from his bafoonery last night and leave Gray in there for at least 7 if he’s doing well, like Tolle was.

wow, the utility players sure did enjoy popping that champagne after a loss to the Rays to back door into the playoffs, I guess they were proud of what they accomplished and figured the season was over

a real professional ball club taught them what a real team looks like last night the sox looked like minor leaguers, a mediocre season should never be celebrated

Anthony and the rookies are a bust, the trade deadline was a bust...we are stuck with Duran and story and sub par players that will be on the IL next year

It’s cheaper to develop players in baseball factories like the DR than to scout in your own backyard.   Losing out o. 2 local gems like Rice and Schlittler should never happen.  Baseball is broken in so many ways.
