  1. My trade proposal for Abrams is a great starting point…well, at least in my opinion it is😜
  2. Hard pass? Why? Bennet will not be available for the playoffs and probably September anyways with his IP limits. We get a rental who’s as good this year as Bennett is, for down the stretch that doesn’t have an IP limit…I’m sure we can get another starter this offseason. if you want Abram’s we’re going to have to get uncomfortable. But he’s a proven stud at SS for the long term. If they’ll take Eyanson instead or Eyanson and say Valera, I’d do that too… like I said…it’s a good starting point. I want to win this year. If Bennett or any other pitcher not named Tolle will make it happen, then I’d do it. id extend the kid for 10/350 to start…
  3. Nationals get Franklin Arias Jake Bennett Justin Gonzalez Marcus Phillips 2x lower level players RED SOX get CJ Abram’s Foster Griffin it’s at least a good starting point Washington gets a haul (including Bennett back, looking much better at the MLb level) and the Sox get a rental for the stretch and their SS for the next few years and hopefully lock up long term.
  4. I never mentioned Castillo nor would he be my first choice. Gray and Suarez are the two guys who I have no concerns about in the rotation.. Tolle/Bennett, IP limits. Sandoval is still coming off a two year break. Bello is Bello and Crochet is not even on the radar as far as a possible return timetable. Early is now gone and Breslow traded away all our pitching depth, so we need to find someone competent who can replace Early. we can find someone better on the open market, and should. we got Jake Peavy in 2013. A starter like that. He wasn’t a top guy anymore, but he was a bulldog that gave you good competitive innings and some passion on the mound and clubhouse. A vet that’s been there before.
  5. It’s all about room on the active roster…bullpen or AAA if there are options. We NEED a starter. Whatever we have to do to make it happen
  6. The bullpen was the other option. I wasn’t sure so I mentioned both possibilities. Bottom line is we need another starter and should trade for one and make it all work
  7. Not sure all the love for Neto. Didn’t we just get a poor fielding middle IFer? We have a stud in AAA that we should give a look first…I’m not a Neto fan. At all. Pass
  8. I go get a starter and put Sandoval and Bello back in AAA or the pen until needed again in the rotation when the young arms hit their limits…we’re going to need another starter at some point this year. A healthy Gray and Suarez is all we will have when Tolle and Bennett hit the wall. We NEED another arm. IM sticking with what we currently have at SS. I don’t want Neto. Especially if it costs Arias. I may also call the kid up. Pena has been taken off the market as of right now and would cost a lot as well. if they can get Jeffers I like his bat if they’re looking for another one. Won’t cost as much. I think we have enough in house to add to the pen if need be so another starter, mid back rotation type. We had a few but Breslow sold them all so here we are. In 2013 we got Peavy. that’s the kind of starter we need this year again. Innings eater that can rest the other arms. I’m NOT relying on Crochet at this point in time. Go get another arm.
  9. Yeah, he’s so uptight right now, you couldn’t get a pin up his azzz with a jackhammer…
  10. He’s getting a little better though. Still uncomfortable, but not as awkward
  11. What I did NOT predict was winning 21 of 25. I thought if they somehow turned into buyers that Early would be a guy teams would want and was the odd man out. I wouldn’t have bet that I was going to happen, the way this team was looking.
  12. Breslow just said Mead will start at 2b. Smart move.
  13. Well there’s always AI to make that happen for ya… honestly, I’d kind of like to see what that would like too.
  14. Pena is available thru 2027 I believe. He’s cheap too. Perfect place holder. Come 2028 Story will be gone and Arias will have the spot…if all goes well.
  15. It was mentioned that LF could be possible for Mead. I’m ok with that too. If anything, I’d go get Pena to play SS if the price isn’t ridiculous. Hold the place for Arias. He’s cheap and might not cost as much as some others. honestly, at this point, starting pitching should be the focus.
  16. I’d be surprised if Breslow doesn’t go get a starter
  17. I dunno. Even in SSS, which is all we got, Mead isn’t a good 3b. Durbin is an arguably a GG there. Lesser risk playing Mead at 2b if you ask me. Durbin is locked in. Why mess with that for a lesser defender? We got other guys to play 2b if he blows there too. All I’m saying is Don’t Move Durbin. We will be worse off for it.
  18. If they put a guy with better numbers playing 2b, at 3b, for a guy who’s a vacuum at 3b they are reta**d
  19. Im all in on that. He’s a better 2b than 3b without a doubt. I doubt Tracy moves Durbin
  20. If he was 28-29 I might say he is who he is, but plenty of guys don’t hit their stride until their mid 20s. I was worried that Early had been over performing and looking at the analytics I’m going with that. He’s a good back rotation guy, which makes this trade a smart move IMO. I hope they both do well in their new homes. Especially Mead, even if he isn’t a fan of sweet Caroline…I’m not really either🤷‍♂️
  21. I like the deal. Especially if this kid is finally breaking out. So now I’m pretty sure we can bet that another starter will be traded for.
  22. Yeah, I don’t even want him to be honest.
