I expect the Fully Loaded Bronx Bomber lineup today where all 9 Yankees have at least 20 HRs this year (if you count McMahon’s 16 with Colorado and Volpe’s 20th yesterday)…

You mean the Yankees will actually start Jazz and Rice, with their 31 and 26 homers? Ya know, more than any other Boston batter this year... (LA benched their HR leaders in the 2018 World Series because of match-ups; how'd that work out for them).

The Sox platoon because they have to, not to overanalyticize...

... speaking of the biggest Game One miracle -- not bases-loaded-no outs (Sox fans are used to that): 0-2 count to Rafaela, as usual... then 10 pitches later he walks, setting up the winning rally. Wha-?

Stating the obvious, pitching, defense and base running is more important than offense in a short series. The season record goes out the window if you have a true ace that's better than opposition's ace.

Crochet, Chapman and look how we extended a single into the winning run with Judge not being able to throw over 80 mph from right center.

Good job by Cora too. Definitely playing to win today, tomorrow.

Joe Ryan, Joe Ryan Joe Ryan.

He wasn't going to be on the Red Sox unless they gave up Roman, Tolle, Early and Abreu.

I read somewhere Roman was not in the conversation.

Cora should sit down Duran. I rather save him for pinch hitting when the righties come in......he can't hit lefties.

He wasn't, but the Twins didn't want any of the Sox's offers. Sox would have had to go overboard to get Ryan. They offered Tolle, Abreu and more and didn't get it done.

536 career OPS vs Yankees.

2 WAR guy in half a season in CHW.

wow, I was looking in wrong places. I didn't see him in prospect list. Good to know. Roman and Teel with 8 HR in 250+ at bats. I guess small sacrifice still for getting and extending Crochet, 6 more years starting in 2026.

Heckuva at bat by Rafaela, which has received a lot of comments.

2-16 against Rodon.

I hear you, but Duran has a pretty good WAR in part because he's pretty good in LF.  Didn't he make an over the shoulder catch last night and throw a Yankee out at 2b?

Also, with Eaton in RF and Ref as DH, who's left for LF?  Yoshida.  His OPS vs lefties is .500.  Duran's is .600.

He wouldn't be in prospect lists anymore because he's graduated.

no way, Duran plays and should play...if he gets on, he can be a threat and if he connects at short porch, again HR...But then you have Abreu and I feel he should always be in the lineup. But Cora has pushed all the right buttons, and frankly never thought Sogard, Eaton would be getting big hits in the postseason. Anything Alex does for now on, honestly, he's a pretty damn good postseason manager. Go Sox!

The only button Cora pushes is the computer button to turn it on, and watch it spit out the RH lineup, and then when the LHP gets taken out it spits out his LHB to replace his RHB just like last night. It’s not all that complicated, and very predictable.

so what? Honestly, they trotted out the weakest lineup in Sox playoff history on Tuesday and it still resulted in a win. So if a computer spits out the lineup and Breslow can trade Devers and Breslow can stay quiet at trade deadline and guys like Sogard and Eaton and Yoshida can have key ABs...so be it.

Are we really complaining or upset about decision making by Sox leaders at this point??? It's all Henry's master plan...and damn if I'm going to question anything anymore.

no offense, but other than Romy (who tapped out a few times) and Refsnyder, who exactly does hit lefties on Sox??

Rodon has good stuff, but he will make mistakes and give up the long ball. By the way, Fangraphs has once again revised their odds and now has the odds of the Yanks in two listed as 0.00 %.

Sox were underdogs at approx 33% chance to win, now at 62.4%. Yankees were given the highest likelihood of yesterday's losers to comeback after the game 1 loss.
