No, the Sox still have a major void at DH--even now with Yoshida on the shelf...yes lucked out in another trade with Milwaukee to get 3 Sox contributors, 2 starters...but in a million years that was still a bad trade to me. Devers 81 games at Fenway means more home runs (they need power, they have basically won due to power with Abreu and Contreras and Durbin big bombs of course), more doubles. Fenway adds to Devers stats to me. The Sox have a struggling All-Star catcher now and lucked on the Contreras addition. I'd take Devers back in a milisecond.

Duran will be in LF until the cows come home...I don't agree with it especially with Ruestchman having to sit on bench over DHing on days he doesn't catch. Yoshida has to go to the OF and Eli/Jahmai even...Duran should not be playing every day or at all the way he has just been poor.

I'm with moon here, there's a point they are overplaying him...and it's happening now. He just has no concept at the plate, no plan and won't take balls to LF like Yoshida -
you can't be hot hot hot hot...and not have some stretch in the other direction..Dodgers lost 7 straight and barely won to break it.

Duran can be frustrating, but you can always tinker with his spot at anytime. -
would love to see Bello actually start and go long and not be bad as a SP. As good as he has been as long reliever, this is a good time for him to get an occasional start to really help out.

weaknesses? 27 out of 30...it did nothing this game...they lost, it's called baseball. Game exposed nothing.

First of all, White had 2 good at bats at the end....he drew a big walk and then roped a liner to CF on that last AB... I'm sure a lot of guys didn't care for Durbin, had no faith in Monasterio playing SS, felt why is Sogard back, Seigler there, questioned Yoshida being back for another season....etc...Jahmai Jones who is probably last guy anyone wanted hit the crap out of the ball today, 3 hits and Sogard 3...White is the fastest guy on the team (think Dave Roberts pinch running in playoffs)...few were hitting A's hurler who was great. Point being making judgment calls on Sox players hasn't worked for fans this season. Enjoy the wins...this was still a tying run at plate rally...that's a good thing.

To have the tying run at plate...that's just insane....Sox make it incredibly hard on opponents. No quit.

It's to give guys rest, but yeah would have liked Yoshida in there to pinch hit for Duran even with a lefty

can't win them all..but then there is always the 9th...and I said that 11x in the wild 14 inn game...Yogi had it right and it applies to Sox.

Duran may swing at every pitch over his head this AB....His lack of discipline is the real reason he has had it rough this year overall
