Doesn't help them pass SEA. If they go 6-0 in those three games, they still could be 3 games back of the WC.

No, but if we pass TOR & TEX, we don't have to pass SEA.

I don't think they can pass two teams. It's too hard at this point. The magic number is at 14. If they sweep those series, but go 7-6 the rest of the way, TOR/TEX get into the playoffs going .500 against all other opponents.

The likelihood of the Sox going on a 13-6 run is slim to none with Paxton and Sale being shut down for the year. They just have no pitching left.

The circumstances are clearly not propitious.

Has Duvall been using Story Land’s bat? 14 K’s in his last 17 AB. From hot to the ice bucket.

It's the story of our season. It's been one big roller-coaster ride to nowhere.

Pass TOR, and TEX? The only thing the Red Sox have to worry about now is staying ahead of the Yankees. 7&8 games behind Sea, Tex, and Toronto with only 15 games to go. They are on a 4-11 run in their last 15, and that is why they are closer to last place than any WC spot.

Time to play the kids and sit anyone who is not part of the plans going forward.

So? There was Nothing done during this season even being 10 games over 500 at one point with the conditions the pitching staff was in, and the inconsistent no name offense as Max would say, and the schedule ahead to even think above anyone’s wildest dream that the Red Sox were going to do this. Going 4-11 in the last 15 games was a lot more likely scenario than even going 8-7.

I never said we would go 6-0 vs TEX and TOR.

Nothing indicated we would do that, but the point was valid.

We had a chance IF we went 6-0 and well in the other games, too.

Yes, that is true, despite me knowing it ain't happening.

Now, you get it.

Look guys, if they win out, they'll get into the playoffs. They should just do that!

Season back on!

Cora just needs to sit everyone down and tell them to play better and stop striking out so much..

I think this team right now is more listless, and lifeless then they were at the same time last year.

It's Cora's fault for not telling them this and for playing players that make outs.

Season back on!

It should be easy to win 15 of the last 17 because all the starting position players have been rested all season to save up their energy for just this stretch run.

The only snag is that the rookies are the ones going all out, so we're not really sure who the regulars are...

... but for those who fear the bullpen could be cooked -- since relievers have thrown as many innings as starters the past month -- that was another strategy. From now, starters will go seven... or maybe even be stretched out to six... frames... in every remaining outing (yes, frames; right up Mookie's alley... just roll strikes!)

Cora has proven that he can manage effectively and win when he has the right players. So far, Bloom has proven nothing.

Plenty of managers can win with the right players. Cora is fairly fungible sa manager…

Does that mean half this board thinks we need a fungicide?

I would say another last place in the Div finish, or anything close, which would make 3 out of 4 years of the Bloom regime would call for a total flushing out from the very top to the very Bottom. Enough of this crap.🤭

LOL! But you aren’t sick of finishing last. That’s weird.

But the Red Sox might be better in 2026. At least that is what the hope is, but that might never happen.
