I don't think we have to dig that deep into it. Cora's just trying to get everyone playing time.

With all the injuries, it does make some sense keeping everyone fresh and thinking they are a part of the team on the field.

It did seem strange resting Dugo before a 4 day break, but at least it was a LH'd pitcher, this time.

You can put me on ignore if you want.

No way. LMAO. I believe ignore is childish, and petty. Like Moon who has put me on ignore many times, but then answers my post through other posters. Nobody has to read anyone’s post, or answer them for that matter.

I think sometimes folks use the little known " fake ignore " option. With that, they look like no nonsense types who won't tolerate "lesser " opinions, but they still get to read all of the posts.

Nice armchair gobbledeegoop.

It's not about "lesser opinions" and never was. I've never put anyone on ignore for their opinions.

It's the constant misrepresentation of my statements, then double downs when confronted with the obvious false narratives, plus the near total lack of understanding on what words mean and don't mean. It's hard to continue discussing something with someone like that.

There are plenty of posters I disagree with on many things- some almost everything (like you), but I've never come close to putting them on ignore or even thought of doing it.

You can ignore all you want. Like I said you don’t have to read someone else post, or better yet respond. I know one can’t resist at all, and has even bragged they have to get the last word in.

But why do you still respond to people you have on ignore through other posters.? What a front man.

That's the reason he has you on ignore I believe.

I think you missed my point . I have never put anyone on ignore. I don't care what anyone thinks or posts. It's not at all important to me. I think putting someone onto ignore is ridiculous. I also don't think anyone should be banned except for something really outrageous. None of this stuff matters very much.

I got your point, and I wasn’t really answering you even though I responded to your post.

To answer me after through other posters?

No. Because your constantly misinterpret other posters' points and positions, and you're the worse kind of hypocrite, whining about others trying to supress your opinoons, when you very much do the same thing. Many others here posit opinions contrary to the prevailing notions of the board, but aren't as annoyingly confrontational as you.

Great job by Duval today. Maybe his bat will get going. (see how easy I am to please?). Good win despite getting outhit 11 to 6. Long balls matter.

It's a good day when German pitches one hitter over 6 innings and give up only one earned run (2 runs total) but the Yankees are losing 7-4 going into bottom of the 9th.

I think we're only two games out.

Let's pay attention to the draft. I'm looking for a college pitcher. High school pitchers seem too far off into the future.

Is there anyone on that Oakland staff that we can get it on the cheap? Throw tons of cash and some low A ball players?

Quite simply, I'm avoiding any back and forth with Red. I'm pretty sure most of the board is happy it has stopped.

I do often comment on something he said to another poster or the comment they replied to him with, but I don't see why that should be an issue.

I was at fault for keeping the pissing match going, and chose this way to lessen that from happening. Occasionally, I see nothing has changed with the frequent misrepresentations and twistings of what people say, including my own statements. I can't do back and forths with that. If it bothers him and others, so be it. It's better this way than before.

I'm not sure how many of us felt we could possibly end up 5 games over .500 by the break after falling flat on our faces a couple times, last month, but here we are:

48-43 is an 85 win pace.

-9 GB fro 1st

-7 from 2nd (BAL)

-2 from 3rd (TOR)

-1 from 4th (NYY)

The WC Race:

+5.0 BAL

+0.0 HOU

+0.0 TOR

-1.0 NYY

-2.0 BOS

-4.0 SEA

-5.0 LAA and MIN

Games to play between the AS break and Trade Deadline:

BOS: 3@CHC, 3@OAK, 3NYM, 2ATL, 3@SFG, 3@SEA

NYY: 3@COL, 3@LAA, 3KCR, 2NYM, 3@BAL, 3TBR

TOR: ARI, 3SDP, 3@SEA, 3@LAD, 3LAA, 4BAL (Brutal)

HOU: @LAA, 3@COL, 4@OAK, 3TEX, 3TBR, 3CLE (Nearly brutal)

Recheck that, at least if the trade deadline is July 31. Too many games in just 18 days (July 14-31). Game 2 at Seattle is on July 31--and the 16th game after the ASG break.

Agree completely no one thought the Sox would be where they now are.

More cheese for you, but what it truly is more than anything else is that some just don’t like how I voice my opinions, and the opinions themselves. I appreciate the kind words, and LMAO that you think you don’t do the same thing. Amazing that I voice the same opinions in person, and on talk shows, and other forums, and some disagree with me, and some don’t, but never the same reactions as on here, so I’ll let that speak for itself, because that does mean something.

I wonder how many people here who fight with each other constantly would end up hitting it off if they actually met in real life. Beer is the great equalizer.

I even offered Moon a Sea Dog Biscuit last year.

Bloom will take a MI in the first round. The MI talent in this draft is too topheavy…

Yes, the trade deadline falls within the last series listed. It is August 1st

What's your pleasure Moon? I'm trying to cut out the beer. I've lost 30 lbs and beer is one thing I've cut down on. It's made me cranky though.
