It's easy to be Johnny Obvious. Cora is trying to keep everyone involved because that pays off over the long run. It might have something to do with why this team has shown so much resilience.

We’ve already gone through the Duran thing, but i don’t think he is a good comparison to Kike who has had tons of MLB experience, and is a career 239 hitter who hasn’t even hit that for two years now. Don’t keep getting caught up in his Postseason of 2021. He’s nowhere near that good.

Kike seems to perform better at 2nd, even with the bat. We are going to find out shortly if that’s the case.

 

At least with Chang back he will not touch short, or at least shouldn’t. It will be interesting to see what happens when Story is back. Kikes tenure in Boston might not last to the end of this season

I remember an announcer saying a good throw would have thrown out the runner.

Arroyo is a better 2B than Kike, and every time he gets a few hits Cora puts his boy back in at 2B. I know you’ve changed your toon after a few wins, but I’ll only change mine when the Red Sox makes the postseason whenever that will be. I’m not as easily to be persuaded as you apparently are. Nothing wrong with that. Whatever works for you. Football can’t get here soon enough for me though.

Lots of LF get tricked of going into that LF corner where the ball comes back out over the stands, and lands in fair territory. We’ve all seen that many times through the years have we not? Not a good look though.

I have been so impressed watching Turner lately. The term professional hitter gets overused, but I think he really is one. I think he's just as happy fisting one into right for a bloop single as hitting one out. Take what the pitcher gives ya. I think he's actually underrated looking at his numbers with the Dodgers. An OPS+ of 133 is serious.

At least Duvall has the possibility of adding some right-handed power to this lineup if he can get his timing back. Kike brings basically nothing to the table.

He was also very good for the second half of 2021. We may not have even made the playoffs without Kike and Dalbec- two guys in a doghouse similar to Duran's, last year.
