Yet MIL is the best team in baseball by record.

One more reason to look at not just overall record.

For the past 2 months Caleb Durbin has arguably been the best 3B in baseball.

And with all the heat Breslow has taken for overlooking the human side of the game, with Durbin he acquired a real character guy.

Chapman remains a concern and this can no longer be ignored.

I hate to break something that is working, but maybe Whitlock needs to be given some more 9th inning appearances.

Give Meidroth some credit, too -- he was the best hitter in the ballgame and you knew that AB was trouble when Chappy couldn't put him away. I was getting Altuve vibes when I said, "Don't hang one"...

Can't have everything I guess.  Remember in 2018 Kimbrel was falling apart at the end of it.

He was just as scary through the playoffs, too, but somehow he kept getting the saves.

First time in MLB history a team scored in the bottom of the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th.

With ghost runners, it may happen again, but that is stunning what they did.

Remember how this team had "issues" with extra innings, now look-see!

Durbin/Contreras/Gray/Suarez/Bennett have all been amazing additions this year.

Even the lesser role players have looked good for what they were signed/traded for (middle relief/bench/depth) Guerrero/Moran/Seigler/Monesterio/IKF.

Kind of makes me wonder what Johan Oviedo would have looked like this year if he stayed healthy.

Yup!

Even IKF hit over .700 and gave solid defense before going on the IL, and Cheng did very well on defense.

The one trade not made last deadline (Tolle) might have been as big as some we made last winter.

We are 5-0 in Sandoval starts!

Coulombe did okay for the 8th RP'er, before he was DFA'd. Gamboa (2.08) pitched well.

Not many failed.
