Breslow said the Red Sox needed more power. They finished 26th in home runs, dead last in September scoring, and managed TWO runs in the playoffs. His reward? A contract through 2030. Apparently you don't have to fix the offense in Boston. Just keep explaining why it's broken.

At least last year we were competitive and won the first game of the series with arguably a less talented team on paper.
  3. iortiz
What was the run differential in those series? Here was 18-2!!!! It was a slaughter.

I think this is the worst PO Red Sox team I have ever seen, and is not even close. They weren't even competitive. It was a complete slaughter, massacre and humiliation. What an embarrassment.

    Why Gamboa?
  6. iortiz
We are not even competitive man. Whata clown show.
  7. iortiz
And JH just extended Breslow and Tracy lol
  8. iortiz
And all started with a missed out at 1B by Rutchman

And that ladies and gentlemen was the last AB of Jones in Red Sox uniform.

Tracy chickens again and shits the bed. It’s likely over folks.

Sonny is putting a clinic thus far. While offense has been anemic tonight, some have put good ABs, at least from my view. Hopefully the latter pays out soon.
  12. iortiz
Sonny is dealing and giving us a real opportunity to win tonight. This offense has to wake the f*** up already.

Guy got into another slump at the wrong time. Just like almost everybody else.
  14. iortiz
The most I like about the guy is his discipline at plate and pitch recognition. It’s elite stuff.

Watching the CHW-HOU game. As I said on other post, it’s a shame we traded Meidroth instead of Mayer, Campbell or Anthony. Guy is legit and already delivering, He won’t need a developing program BS. Guy knows how to play the game of baseball.

    Bingo!!! It’s called common sense.
  17. iortiz
Seems like we let go the good guys and kept the busts.

I think the morale is totally different. With a 1-0 you think you still can make it. With a 9-0? Feels like the sky is falling.
  19. iortiz
Baseball doesn’t work that way though. If you enter the 8th inning with 1 run deficit, the mentality on both teams are not the same. This is a situational game.

I’m having the Astros winning tomorrow.

This team can’t hit to save their lifes. JH wanted to play Moneyball at offense and fell out flat. This was an embracement. It’s fair to say the Sox are the weakest team in the POs.
  22. iortiz
Tracy is a pussy after all.
  23. iortiz
Rafaela would have walked but he just can’t resist the temptation to swing. His discipline at plate is still an issue.
  24. iortiz
Abreu, Rafaela, Duran, Durbin, Yoshida, etc. are average hitters. We need at least one elite young bat next season. It doesn’t matter what you have to do to trade/sign.

This guy was the No. 1 prospect a year ago. Can’t remember the hype he generated by other prospect in recent history. Heck some said he was going to be the next Williams. It’s turning into a fat fiasco.
