What the heck, may as well win one every 3 days .  The good news is that it will be over early.  Prevent the angelic sweep.

Simply cannot understand this team's travails at Fenway.    Without Bregman, no big pull hitters from the right side.    Only a genius would build a LH hitting team to play there.

I always wondered why Boston wouldn't just load their roster with right handed hitters, considering that the Green Monster boosts righty production a ton (similar to how the Yanks refused to sign any good lefty bats the last few years). But Narvaez was a good get for you guys. He probably has more value in Fenway than he would've in YS, evidenced by his drastic home/away splits (.956 OPS at Home, .652 on the road).

Is this the matinee that everyone has been ranting, and raving about, and anxious to see titled Horror With Cora ,and directed by Alex Cora shown on the NESN big screen where the Red Sox get swept out of town by the high flying Angels, and then head to NY like dogs with their tails tucked between the legs? Stay tuned for the reviews.👏

Go Angels! Its for the best for the Flops to lose every possible remaining game, except when playing the Yankees of course. Cora MUST be fired because a sea change has to occur and you can't fire all the players. I am tired of seeing his mug smiling and chatting on the bench as his buffoon players keep trying out for spots on little league teams.

These guys SUCK!

"Why can't this team win more?"

If I showed you this lineup in February, y'all would have told me the Sox were in last place.

That seems to be kind of a fallacy.  Williams, Yaz, Boggs, Papi all lefties who flourished.

But our hitting from the right side is definitely pretty weak these days.

History has shown that Fenway is more advantageous to LH hitters than RH.

Yeah, the interesting thing about the Monster is that it does not produce a surplus of home runs, but of course it produces a hefty surplus of doubles.

There's been Dawn of the Dead and Night of the Living Dead. Today it will be Afternoon of the Living Dead.

The worst thing about mediocrity is that winning one game here and other there might make you think you are finally going to the right direction.

We might win today and would hide the real issues of this team —again. They need a deep diagnostic to address the real issues.

I don’t think just winning today is going to cover up any issues the team is having. It may help them feel a little bit better going into NY, but that’s about it.

There's a possibility that by season's end this headless team won't even qualify as mediocre.

I'm not sure even a win is going to make anyone feel better. Going 1-2 against LAA isn't great. If they have another "Boston Massacre" type series, there will be some sort of fallout.

And tomorrow is an off day to do so.

They called up Mayer in the middle of a double header. No reason to wait at this point. Shake things up! Or stop pretending that you're trying to go for it this year.

Cora finally taking some of the blame during last night's interview convinces me that JH must have informed him just prior that he's not going to get fired.

It's the first year of his extension, there's no way he's getting fired. Breslow was the only guy, aside from Cora, that was willing to take the CBO job. If they fired Breslow, NOBODY would send their resumé in. It'd be worse than the 10 no's they got last time. They are stuck with Breslow through his contract and maybe longer. This is a cultural mess created by JH and everyone else at FSG. 👎

The only thing they can do for the next few years is churn through the roster and replace the lower level coaches.

Cora could go work for Bloom in St. Louis anyway.🤫

You think Theo is offering any advice in any of this? If not maybe he should.

As much as we complain about this team, let’s all be thankful we aren’t White Sox Fans. I went to a game on Monday in Chicago and that team is pathetic and we had to avoid scammers and crackheads just to park near the stadium. They got absolutely destroyed, Kerry Carpenter hit 3 homers, the fans chanted “sell the team” the entire game. You can literally buy upper deck tickets and sit wherever because no one goes because the team, park and location all suck.

there was a fan sitting near me that told me Cam Booser is one of the teams best relievers and is their “high leverage guy” and said “yeah it’s that bad” lol

No idea. We clearly overstated what he was going to bring to the table.

Sox hitting into DP's has decreased so far this season because K's have increased.

Starting pitching, defense, and timely hitting all have been correctly determined as weaknesses on this Sox team. Last night a couple of base running blunders probably cost the Sox the game. So we can add that to the weaknesses.

Is the BP warming up?

I wouldn’t have them up.  Giolito can be his own long man and take the pounding. Eventually, Toro can mop up.

Giolito is a sack of crap.  Game over before retiring 1 Angel.

I'm going out on the limb and saying the chance that this is Cora's last game ( deserved or not) just crossed the 53.2% barrier.    You cannot get swept at home by the Angels.
