Our three largest FA contracts given since JD's $110M/5 in 2018, not counting the Nate re-signing in 2019 at $68M/4:

$140M/6 Story

$90M/5 Yoshida (not counting posting fee)

$39M/2 Giolito

(The two signings, Jansen & Martin at about $70M, were better than all of these top 3 deals combined.)

We all know how big contracts often fail to meet expectations, and these deals were not even close to the biggest deals in MLB over the last 6-7 years, but these 3 major strike outs are one of the main reasons we keep sucking.

 

i know you don't like DD, but i'm pretty sure he never would have made those s***** deals. let's face it, the Sox front office from Bloom thru Breslow has been a steaming pile of s***.

He made some bad deals. I think he would NOT have signed Masa though.

Campbell epitomized the Sox philosophy there.  Swing hard at everything.  No attempt to cut down the swing with 2 strikes.  Sad thing is, he’ll be told it’s okay.

With Duran on 3rd and Devers on 1st, surprised  AC didn't call for the delayed -run down double steal sending Duran home with the lead run.
