Sweet Caroline is the anthem for the brain dead.

It's not even one of Diamond's best songs. I would not mind hearing Cherrie Cherrie or Kentucky Woman instead.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me because I have a 10 hour round trip for my annual pilgrimage to Fenway but I love singing that song....

Finally, someone who makes sense. It might not be the ideal song--it has absolutely nothing do with the Sox or baseball and I think was written for Caroline Kennedy--but it's ideal if the fans at the game like to sing it. I have no Neil Diamond recordings and never listen to him, but I'm fine with that song, especially when they sing it in the movie Fever Pitch.

JBJ ,Beeks ,Chavis for Scooter Genette .Final offer take the s*** or leave it .

I reluctantly concur with your harsh description of the Red Sox trade pieces.

No doubt it's fun for the fans at the park, but to me it kind of epitomizes the whole 'pink hat' image of people who are there to have a good time but don't know crap about what's going on on the field. Excluding Slasher, of course.

I've seen quite a few die-hard, drunk Sox fans singing along with gusto.

I agree.

I tend to agree with you even though I could give a crap what the fans want to sing. Sadly without those "pink hats" all over the country, baseball just might not get prime time because it just isn't fun or it doesn't move fast enough or there isn't enough technology being used to make sure we get things right. Without all of those pink hats, we might even get to see one of the greatest games created played the way it should be played.

I'm not sure what his trade value is. Everyone has a price.

I will say this - if I was an MLB GM, I would absolutely be targeting Bradley as a buy low piece. Maybe I'd be looking to move a shorter contract to get him....

Every single time we all get on the trade Jackie bandwagon a play like Benny happens .I am in the trade JBJ for a frontline starter only camp and yes that's not happening .

The fact that I agree with you is making me start a complete re-evaluation of every truth I hold dear to my soul.

Yeah you would be surprised at what we agree on .I don't like all the mushy crap so let's just agree I'm sneaky brilliant and call it a day .

it looks like hes getting hot. he gets up to say .230 or so, trade him?

NO. His defense alone is enough to keep him on the field and we've seen flashes of how he can hit. Every time he goes on one of these tears we can't help but think that this is the real JBJ and that's not someone you trade.

I don't understand the obsession with trading him. If we trade him in middle of the season, who are we getting and who is starting in outfield thats a better option?

No reason to trade him. His upside is worth more than a trade return.

Game I'm looking forward to is Sundays nights game. I want to see how JBJ does against a hard thrower like Severino. Is he catching up to the fast balls, from a Right Hander? He hits him he is on his way. Not going to judge outs, if the ball is hit on the money, it's a real good sign. Edited by OH FOY!

Can we shut this one down ? Guys playing pepper off the monster now .

So, in a month, you'll be back demanding a he be traded.

How about JBJ, Swihart, and Beeks for Mike Trout?

/ducks and runs

No man I'm a JBJ believer ...don't ever need to see Benny out there unless we get a number 2 starter JBJ .No position player is better at Fenway CF than we already have .

It's important to keep the big picture in mind. The sox have a lot of players who are going to require a lot of money in the not too distant future, JBJ is not one of them. Whether you think defense is overrated or underrated(like me) it isn't something that you have to pay big contracts for. In addition defense does not vary from year to year like hitting does for a lot of players. Pencil JBJ in for the next 5-10 years at CF, you get solid defense and maybe occasional offense at somewhere in the $10M per year range.

Hey, we could even throw in Scott or Haley but I wouldn’t tell the Angels that in the beginning.
