Devers is playing well below the average in the major leagues:.  Thank God we don't have him.

An objective viewer might actually think Brez did well with the Devers trade (dump.)

Agreed, it looks like a clear win.  And Raffy is reportedly exhibiting some of the same behaviors as in Boston, blowing off the media etc.

You never know, he could turn around those 2026 numbers yet.  It's a hard game and a long season.

I wouldn't read too much into it.  Slow starts are not new to him; his numbers in April have never been great, though these are below his career norms for the month.

As he does his usual Spring slow start , his true personality and attitude show up. Man-boy crybaby

Got to get him on a warm weather team like Miami where the press will laud him en Espanol.

You said Devers Forevers more than anyone on here, and many many times.

Yep. I go to Cot's all the time and see what worthless contracts are still out there.  (two big ones come off after 2027) Happy not to see every box filled with big numbers for Devers.

I don't think anyone else said it, except you when mocking me.

I wasn’t a Devers Forevers guy. Of course you wanted the Red Sox to give Mookie a 14 year contract too..

Yes, unlike you, I don't lie about my positions (and more so about other's positions and motives.)

I've made many of my positions known, and I'm specific- not wishy-washy.

I admit I get a lot wrong. Maybe as much or more than ben, Bloom & Brez.

OMG!! A fan getting excited about a player on his team!  Call Ripley’s!

Devers can hit a baseball like very few people on this planet.  Why wouldn’t any fans of his teams get excited? Even last year, he started out horribly but then went on a tear and we all loved him again.

He was an exciting hitter.  The problem was he was a terrible 3b who was very resistant to change to the point where he became a difficult and selfish teammate…

He thinks being an excited fan is some sort of defect... like saying "Mayer for Mayor" and then he goes in a slump is something to be ashamed of.

He thinks admitting when you're wrong is a defect, and lying is a strength.

Good for you.👏. As I said at the time Raffy was signed, because he was the last man standing out of Mookie, and Bogey, and I was surprised JH coughed up the money. I’ve never liked these big long term contracts, but it was something the Red Sox had to do at that time so it was an alright move at the moment.

Yes you’re great with the Pom Poms, and you’re also quick to bail on the team when they’re still in contention. Also it was Masa for Mayor.🙈

Ummm… new to sports?

Thats textbook fan behavior.  Visit any web forum for a team or listen to any sports radio channel or watch any local news program that covers sports.  The common theme across the board is “Bipolar Overreaction”…

Red Sox fans take it as a matter of faith that, when a player goes 0-4, his career is over.

As always, RS fans put way too much faith in small sample sizes.  Devers has a .915 over his last 7 games, with a 7-game hitting streak.  Players his age rarely derail,

So?

BTW, I was the first to "bail" one season, and so what about it?

Sometimes I get excited when a good thing happens, so what about it?

I don't lie about what other people say, double and triple down on it.

I don't make wishy-washy statements then claim I'm right no matter what the result end up.

Yes, I wanted us to extend Betts for 10, 12 and even mentioned 14 years to bring the AAV down.

Yes, I drove the Devers forevers bus. I'm not going to lie. I felt we need to keep one of our stars. I'm now glad we dumped him, and so what?

You praise Fred and his negativity and have an issue with me bailing on the Sox one season, years ago? There is no rhyme or reason to anything you say.

You crack me up- literally. I'm chuckling so loud, my wife asked what I'm laughing at.

How many posters here see me as the fan who bails more than most?

Red does. That says it all.

My loyalty to the Sox goes beyond an obsessive level. I'm literally coo-coo for Coco Puffs on this.

Red blasts me for being over supportive of Ben, Bloom, Cora then in the next breathe calls me out for "bailing." Talk about extreme absurdity.

I didn’t say you bailed more than most, but you did bail you admitted it yourself. Kind of a quick hook for a super fan like you claim to be.  I don’t blame you for being overly supportive of JH, Bloom, or Brez it’s when you say you’re not defending, or apologizing for the three amigos when everyone knows you were defending, or apologizing for them. If you are going to lay out the scenario, which you claim you’re under tell it all, and tell it right. Come on man! 🙈👋
