Checked the standings-there isn’t a team in the ALE playing well. Best teams are a game over .500-which in no way affects how bad this roster is. I mean IKF and Durbin starting???? Can’t win like that.

One could add: our hyped up top 3 SP'ers are at 7.58, 5.02 and 4.43.

We’re playing the Twins.  A team that unloaded Danny Coulombe, Griffins Jax, Jhoan Duran, Brock Stewart, Louis Varland, Ty France, Harrison Bader, Willi Castro, Chris Paddock, and Carlos Correa in one weekend ladt year, and in return they got Mick Abel, Taj Bradley and James Outman and a slew of players still in the minors.  Their big offseason additions were Josh Bell, Victor Caratini and Tristan Gray (I know.)  Oh and they lost Pablo López for the year.

Do the Twins have a good roster? Have you seen it ? But they have a good W-L record and are second in the AL in runs scored.  After winning 70 games a year ago.  
 

Look around MLB.  The Sox roster is nowhere  near as bad as many seem to think.  Their performance has been, however…

and that i blame on the coaches. IMHO, it's long past time to move on from Cora, Fatse and the rest of the losers coaching this team.

The time to clean house was this past winter. The FO failed. Again . We are stuck with a bunch of bums again-with a few exceptions.

My favourite Fred tactic is the - 'I've just tuned in' when something bad happens. Not so much when we win or play well. There are several posters who you can see are desperate for the team to be bad so they can attack ownership. They want it, they would prefer us to be bad so they can say they were right. Fred is the cheerleader of this group. 

That said, his multiple complaints are not without basis. And if they don't pull out of whatever this is in the next few weeks he'll be well within his rights to go into overdrive.

Dialogue was subtitled, but the songs were actually sung in English, which caused me to wonder: do the characters see lyrics in their own language floating around in the sky back home?

I don’t see the point in attacking ownership.  It’s so much easier to get a worse owner than a better one.  Henry could spend more, but he’s a far cry from Carl Pohlad, and our big drop in the payroll rankings was a brief “plummet” out of the top ten to number 11. 
 

I don’t consider this unsurvivable…

I didn’t watch to begin with. Watching MOONSHINERS was more appealing to me. Once again I applaud the diehards who actually watch the Red Sox every night.👏

I posted earlier that we got off to either bad or horrible starts in 7 of the last 8 years. This looks like we are at least consistent, including this year. Whether it  has been due to team building, poor management or both is anyone's opinion. The simplest attempt at a solution is to replace the manager. Get someone who is demanding of the players and shows more energy. Kick some butt. 

The alternative is a major restructuring of the team and that is not easy and would take a number of years. 

Clearly, what we are doing isn't working so the time has come for a change in direction. As a very long term fan, I have grown impatient with the very poor Sox performance.

I couldn't agree more. As a big fan of a European football club, I've made this point before - Red Sox fans have no idea how bad an owner can be. Especially when you get to the levels of money needed to buy them that the Red Sox is now at. 

The other thing to consider - would fans be happy being owned by the Saudi's or Qatari's? Sports washing gets old quick.

I've really soured quickly on Cora. I actively want him gone at this point. I've not felt this way about any manager.  I'm just at my end of seeing us make dumb mistakes and enter seasons unprepared. Time for a wholesale change.

Can't believe that show is on season 15. 

I just looked at the tv schedule for CBS. Survivors is running it's 50th season?!?!? There is something called Fire Country that is in its 4th season and millions of people tune into it every week. Everyone's favorite show The Neighborhood is in it's 8th season, as is FBI.

I don't think FSG ever sells the Sox. I just think there are changes internally at FSG overtime. Henry may sell to minority shareholders at some point.

IRT his complaints, if you complain about everything, you'll be right at least once in a while.
