One game is fine. Not sure when AR is expected back. Siegler has caught before as well.

And Jake Rogers, included in this trade and not injured…

He’s a three time All Star, Silver Slugger with two top 12 MVP finishes, was a ROY runner up and has been invited to the HR Derby.  What else does he need to do? Part the Red Sea?

If this doesn’t come with an extension, then I don’t think it’s a good trade. He’s been injured the last two years and is currently rehabbing a wrist injury. With a strike here next year very possible and no extension this turns into five prospects for two months of this guy.

DFA Gasper and add Knizner to the 40 and 26.

I dunno, have you even seen his 'stache? It's rather impressive. But yeah, sure, I'll take your word for it. I won't pretend to much about our 5 tier catchers.

If it's not just a temporary fix, then this trade sucks.

What in the actual f***. This is deal insane. f*** you Breslow. I'm so sour right now.

28-5 in our last 33 games.  That doesn’t buy Breslow even a little leash?

The Sox have 15 months to extend Rutschman…

No.

I was just defending him hard a few days ago to that guy who wanted him fired bc he didn't get Alonso. But this trade is bunk now, and has the potential to be a huge disaster. I'd have preferred they just stood pat with that 28-5 lineup. Our catching situation was not that bad.

And Duran optioned? Eli White stinks, but so does Duran. Trading one scrap heap player for another it seems to me.

Am I missing something, or have we given the best package of prospects and players of any trade, today?

Yes, unless you count giving up Connelly Early for Mead.

The Sox unloaded their 2,3 and 4 ranked prospects (removing Jake Bennett from the list). But only Eyanson held his ranking on the most recent lists.

He was never untouchable for me. lol I've been the one saying we'd be lucky to get a good reliever for him, and everyone said I was crazy.

By a long shot.

Breslow shoving his chips into the middle.

At least he’s not equivocating this year, though some of this should have been done over the winter

And just to be clear, no prospects are untouchable in my books. But it has to make more sense.

So far, the last two Sox trade acquisitions are both injured.

yeah....and that's why Vegas has the Sox MASH unit so heavily favored to win the MLB IL World Series. how could we lose with all the guys we have on the IL?

The Sox have a complete starting staff on the IL, so I agree with Vegas.

Lol…… fair enough…. Just sayin we got better assuming AR15 comes back healthy. AR15 is what we need NOW…. 2027 season offseason starts there will be pitching available (Bieber, Gray, Barnes, Ray, Woodruff etc etc etc) …. Very very little in terms of middle of order bat.

. I wanted a superstar SS. But we may get that with Arias. So who knows. LFG Sox!

Yes

FOR THE ONLY MIDDLE OF THE ORDER BAT TRADED TODAY!

it’ll be ok… braves, Brewers, Astros did nothing……

My issue is that could be a big assumption. Adley 2 years ago and this deal is fine. But a 28yo catcher with injury concerns is a big gamble. And I'm a gambling man by nature. It could very well work, but I don't care for the risk to reward ratio.

Reminder that 15-20% of these guys turn out.
