In a series where our run differential was +4 overall, that was the difference. Great job by all and sundry in the Sox' bullpen.

OK.  I supported an a-hole .190 hitter long enough.   Despite his not chasing a ball over his head, despite his homophobic arguments with fans, despite his changing his batting stance ever week to one even more ridiculous than the last, despite his failure to realize his 'confession' of depression was not going to elicit sympathy from fans.   If you can't trade him, leave him on the bench.  Or maybe just let Willyer beat the cr*p out of him.

Even though the Red Sox took 3-4 from the A’s it didn’t really seem like it. The Sox had trouble hitting their starters. The Dodgers will be a better matchup this weekend, and it should be interesting to see how they stack up.

Dude is a headcase on and off the field. He has no interest in helping himself and fixing the situation. Because of this, he's stuck in a slump he'll never pull himself out of. He should have been traded for whatever someone else was willing to give. I know players will try to rally around him rather than throw him under the bus, but you can't win with a guy like that on your team. Too many outbursts. Too many changes to his swing. It's just not worth it.

I'm not sure that 4.0 RPG, instead of full-year 4.2, is enough for me to make a meaningful analysis.  That's basically a 3B catching a line drive that would normally get by.
