they were reportedly still going after a SS after the Mead trade, I think they will continue to do so with a higher degree of importance placed upon the position with Mead down.

I think if they get both a SS and a Catcher at least one of them might be a big time play for more than just 2026, kind of like they did with Mead.

Breslow will not get a SS nor C deal that he likes enough to execute.   He will get a LH relief pitcher, like Bernandino.

The Sox will play the team they substantially have now, expecting ( wild dreams) that Anthony will provide a bat and Crochet some late September boost .     Mayer will find himself on the outside looking in.  IKF is a toss up , but I prefer Monasterio over him anyway.

The bench will get very crowded as a couple of these season long injuries do actually recover, leading to option players to go back to WooSox.

Meanwhile, there is another key game to win tonight with Sonny Gray on the mound.

Headed to the LAD Chavez Ravine Boston needs to stock up at the A's expense because they are about to meet a true hitting lineup, unlike their own.

Agreed. We might just get a SS OR Catcher (nt both) plus a pitcher.

With SSs Arias, Mayer, Story, Monasterio, Cheng and 2Bmen Seigler, Romy, Sogard, Romero & KC in the system, getting a longer term Catcher might make more sense than SS, but getting a longer term SS would allow us to trade an infielder or two.

I could see a rental SS and longer term Catcher more than vice versa.

No judgements here, but we've out-scored the Dodgers over the past 7, 14, and 28 days.

I've said from day one that the Sox had a better lineup than LA.

Damn, where did I put my pills.

Good point.  Why can't Boston hit the A's pitchers then ?

Abreu isn't in a slump. He's just going through his winter cycle.

It seems that you mainly show up when the Sox are losing.

Monasterio is trying his hardest to win the FT SS job for good.

I think we have higher priorities than getting a SS. LF and catcher for example. And a SP

Your post had a s***** shelf life.

Oh it’s over. You think I’m wrong just because we tied it up?

When have I ever been wrong?
