Sox have put up more runs in this inning than the entire Yankees series. Must be playing in the wrong division.

Red Sox: 4 batters, 4 pitches

Double Yikes!

Are the coaches pushing the "be more aggressive" mantra today?

I think it was a statcast issue that got sorted out as the game went on. Lots of SB's today.

And for anyone that was vaguely annoyed by the Sox playing Northeastern or thinks ST games are lame, at least you still have the option to watch Sox ST games or not. The Angels are broadcasting ZERO games this ST. Wild. 🤪

Great org over there.

Granted this was against a college team, but the Sox sent 18 batters to the plate, and only two failed to get on base!

Red Sox win. Yankees lose. All is right with the universe for one brief moment in time.

Fred just changed his under/over to 98.

LAA doubling down on failure.

Without question , the worst  in the AL .    Wasted multiple years with Ohtani and Trout in the lineup.

Alonso homered for the O's as they shut out the Yanks.

Will he hit 60, this year?

(just kiddin')

He'll get 60 , if only in the games at Fenway to show Bres what a RH'ed power bat is.

My guess is that it's still ST for the Statcast system at JetBlue too.

i don't trust that at all after seeing how bad off they can be during AAA games, when a call is challenged.

Even Mickey ( Mantle) Gasper had a hit and walk.   More significantly , only 1 K all day ( A. Castro).

Also significant , only 1 HR in an 18 run game against collegians

Is anything really "significant" about the first game of spring?

And so the Angels finally answer their version of philosophical “tree falls in the forest” question - if a game is broadcast and no one wants to listen anyway, does the team really suck?

They floated the idea of broadcasting the games at a frequency only dogs could hear, but decided it would be too costly.

Tolle starts game 1 of ST'ing, today.

Here is the line-up:

1. Anthony RF

2. Rafaela CF

3. Abreu DH

4. Contreras C

5. Yoshida LF

6. Wong C

7. Monasterio 3B

8. IKF SS

9. Rodgers 2B

Pretty good up the middle defense.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Rafaela has picked up exactly where he left off. Two Ks in 2 ABs today so far. Still useless with a bat in his hands.

Did anybody get injured?  If nobody got injured, it was a good day.

Fred, you just enjoy being a pain.

I thought about that after I clicked submit.

Hey, that Adams guy can throw.  Does he have a shot at making the 40-man roster?

I think I pulled a left pectoralis muscle, maybe the clavicular head, opening up the sliding door that was frozen.

But Monasterio went yard and Campbell cracked another good oppo hit... so I won't even mention the names of the 1-2-3 batters who went 5-for-8 -- in Ks.
