Thirty hours left. The countdown is on. Some good bullpen arms still out there. Pete Fairbanks and Kyle Finnegan would be excellent additions. Tanner Scott would cost more but could be a season changer. Couple of lesser guys, like Michael Kopech. Just waiting for Hendricks, Slaten and Martin to get healthy could take too long.

It’s already taken to long, and Kenley isn’t to reliable at the moment either.

Kenley is one of the best to ever do it. But let's face it, he is getting old. He is not what he once was.

You are sounding like the posters you bashed a couple months ago.

Ah one of your favorite words on here BASHED. Bloom got bashed, Brez got bashed, Raffy got bashed, O’Neil got bashed, Abreu got bashed, and on, and on it goes. And that’s only what you hear on here. Imagine if you got out, and about you’d have a hard time keeping up defending everyone as the self appointed Red Sox Watch Dog.

Too many holes to fix pitching wise and defensively. Trade Kenley and O'Neill by the TDL, when their value will be at its peak.

Too late man, we're already in the buy lane, if we cross over to the sell lane now there's going to be a pile-up.

Sox trade Nick Yorke to Pittsburgh for pitcher Quinn Priester.

Another arm, and a young arm, but he hasn’t shown much so far.

Although Priester has mostly started for the Pirates, with marginal results, I would see him going into the pen at first while Bailey works on him. Nick Yorke-- good luck in Pittsburg, there was no room in Boston's infield once Grissom and Story get well, LOL.

thus ends the saga of one of the worst 1st rd picks in the history of the Red Sox but at least we got an arm back for him

For Trey Ball, they didn't even get one, much less a baga...

At least for Beni they got a Wink and a nod (Franchy was nod an outfielder, nod a first baseman, nod a hitter).

So the Sox traded a middle infield prospect for a pitcher?

Hmmm…

Yorke was hardly one of the worst first round picks. He’s not even in the bottom 10…

Everyone goes right for Trey Ball, but other 1st round picks include Jason Place, Kolbrin Vitek, Bryan Price, Jay Groome. At least Yorke made AAA…

Hmmm…

You mean a guy who was labeled not a middle infield prospect by dismissive posters here -- because he moved to the outfield! -- as many discerning posters here have pointed out is the reason to always draft the best-dressed player available.

And so what if Priester is a career negative WAR; WAR is a negative thing, not healthy for children and other living things.

As far as relievers go, Tanner Scott is the big prize out there . The Sox are reportedly among the bidders. The question is; are they willing to top the other offers ? We will find out shortly.

But Trey is a hard one to miss, picked only two Treys after Numero Uno.

Yorke is close to making the majors... but can he hang around half a decade, like Chavis?

If they do get him -- any time more than a minute before the actual deadline -- expect the cost to be a lot more painful than Yorke and Paulino...

Who's Grissom?

That's for sure.

The trade deadline is an exciting time. But think for a moment how stressful it can be for players and their families. Not knowing where you are going to be in two days. I know they sign up for it, but that doesn't make it any easier.

Maybe Fitts or Sandlin

Valdez

Meidroth

Lugo or Castro

Probably more

I would not trade Abreu for a rental.
