I'd leave them just as they are.

The only guy I'd move up is Williams, because of his service time taking away 20-30+ WAR.

One could take ARod out, like I did Bonds.

I kinda like Frank Robinson more than The Rickey, but I'm fine where he is.

Any list of the greatest baseball players that does not include Bonds or Arod is not a list of the greatest baseball players.

The both head the greatest cheaters list, if that helps.

They are at the top of the All Time Jerks list.

Another mundane move that looks like a move to make a move. It does nothing to improve the team. Another journeyman pitcher with a plus 5 ERA.

Did you say that when they claimed Schreiber? (I’ll admit, I thought it.)

Not to mention, they can’t make any real moves until after the World Series…

Oh I see. So your list is not the greatest baseball players. It's the greatest players who follow your arbitrary ethical principles (whereby assault and even murder, rape, [pleasuring oneself in public], and things like that are fine, but being suspected--never proved--of taking certain drugs is not).

Whyzat?

The pre-modern baseball player numbers are super wacky and I don't think they are comparable to today's player. I think putting a demarcation line at 1940 for baseball makes sense. I just don't buy that Honus Wagner would be an MLB All Star in 2022.

Let's not start talking about Pittsburgh Steelers QB's now...

How the heck did murder and rape being fine get in the conversation?

Yes, my list is arbitrary. That's why it's my list.

As for evidence. I've seen enough to convict.

H H Holmes was on moon’s original list.

To be fair, he was a better player than you think he was..

I'm not sure how murder or rape boosts a players career stats.

If you had to choose between just these two choices, what would it be?

Bogey & Haniger

or

Swanson & Nimmo

Bogey & Nimmo. :)

Wouldn't it be more fun if we include pitchers?

Bogey, Haniger, a real MLB closer and an ace pitcher. Boston has to get a top starter asap, whether they're going for it or not.

Luis Castillo cost Seattle a ton of prospects, but they signed him longterm, and now have a legit starting rotation locked in for the next five years of contention. The Ms could afford to lose a few minor leaguers, because they already have youthful future stars in the line-up.

Castillo threw 76 pitches yesterday 97 mph or harder, more than any pitcher has thrown in an outing since pitch-tracking began in 2008.

2 of his pitches left the yard, unfortunately.
