Wong blows another win

Not an easy play in that wind; Durbin gave up on it and could have rescued that play.

Bad teams find ways to lose.

Well, the Pythagorus Sox did it again. Got swept, but came back in the last game to get the score close. Great job!

Heart of the lineup in the 9th cannot mske anything happen

Swept

Notice what happened in the bottom of the 9th with the wind, Duran’s pop up specifically.  Looked like there was no wind on that play at all.

Did notice that , odd, I think Wong may not have seen the ball early , then got after it slowly. Durban should have broken on it a lot harder,

his HR is now meaningless

As are most of the Sox few HR's.

at least the Sox evaluation team and analytics crew sped up the Sox games by having players who swing first pitch and pop up

May is pitching lights out for STL this year. Why couldn't Bailey do that?

5-6 with a 3.75 is not exactly lights out. May still sucks although he did just have a complete game shutout.

He was at 4.59 before his 6 IP ER game on June 9th and 4.21 before the shutout.

Last 2 games:

15 IP Zero ERs

5 Hits

2 BBs

15 Ks

Just checked. Counting this game the Sox have hit 39 solo jobs out of a total of 60  homers. That's a 65%.

Here's a correction: The Sox have hit 40 solo homers out of their team total of 61. Still close to 65%.

BR shows 24 HRs with men on base. 35 with nobody on base + 2 today=37.

37/61 is about 61%.

the last Sux team to lose 90 games was in 2014, when they went 71-91. they had Papi, MOokie, JBJ, Xman and Pedey. they also had a 33 year old RP that posted a negative -1.4 bWAR. his name: Craig Breslow.

I predicted the Sox would win 90. I didn't know at the time that Anthony and Mayer were going to be complete washouts. Along with Duran, Story, Crochet and Bello.

There's still plenty of games left to reduce that.403.
