For whatever reason Bello just can’t pitch in the 1st inning. They fixed that by putting him in the second and was actually working fine. They changed what was working to what was not working. They love to do things that doesn’t work like putting Story everyday at SS, and yet people still wonder why this team sucks. In my book everyone should be fired. They are beyond inept.

Just like when they tried to make Whitlock a starter. Completely messed him up and caused him to have injuries. Same thing with Daniel.Bard when they tried to make him a starter. Completely ruined his career.

To make this boring team more entertaining, the Sox should start playing Banana Ball. They already have the yellow jerseys.

Mayer is 3/21 in his last 7 games, and he looks like s hit at the plate, just like a lot of his teammates

Chad Tracy may be a good manager but its hard to tell with this offense. I think the Sox have to completely clean house after this season except for Andrew Bailey. Its certainly not the pitching coach's fault. Keep Crochet, Tolle, Early, Bennett, Suarez, Chapman, Whitlock, Cedanne (just for his CF defense), Contreras, Abreu, Anthony, Mayer (give him another year to produce at SS) and Navarez (catchers are hard to find) and get rid of everyone else.

Sonny Gray would be fine for one more year unless they can get something for him at the trade deadline.

I'd keep Slaten also. Forgot about him because he is hurt a lot.

they will be able to get good return for Gray if he stays healthy....well i should say a competent GM would get a good return

Baseball stinks now.

Not because Sox are bad. Game is BOR-ING.

Offense is down, and not coming back.

Analytics destroyed this sport.

#Baseball is broken.

So.. get rid of Story, Durbin, the bench and the bullpen?

Gray will likely be traded; decent pitcher and with St. Louis paying a big chunk of the contract, very attractive.

Chapman will be moved.  Contending teams will pay for another stud reliever.  It also wouldn’t shock me to see Whitlock traded as well.

Of course, our intrepid PBO will screw this up and get some never weres in these deals,

The thing with the pitch com took the cake today.  Bello must have the attention span of a gnat.

If it didn’t involve possibly hurting another pitcher due to lack of warmups, a trip to the mound with a very unceremonious exit would have been in order.

Tracy was handed a sack of s*** by BresLOW. He inherited it from Cora. There isn’t a manager anywhere who could have done any better with these  BUMS. This is the cheapskate owners fault and the fault of the incompetent BresLOW.
Sell the damn team Henry! We deserve better.

the Sox are 9-10 under Tracy. the Phillies are 15-4 since Don Mattingly took over.

the PHils managerial change seemed to have made a difference. the Sox under Tracy? not so much.

A lot of the Phillies’ resurgence has been an unreal hot streak from Schwarber.  The Sox need some of their underperforming hitters to get moderately hot.

The 2022 Phillies started out 22-29, replaced Girardi with rookie manager Rob Thomson, and made it to the World Series.   It’s not over yet

When Crochet returns, put Bello on the 60 say ML.

ML = Mental Leave

i can't begin to state how disappointed I am in Bello. I had been 100%  against trading him in the past but now I am ok wust giving him away for nothing but salary relief.

and that's really all it would take.... a couple of our guys to get on a hot streak.

I agree but I still think that Tracy gets replaced at the end of the season. Not his fault, just the reality of the team needing to start fresh. No one could win with this offense.

Gray can opt out of the club option after this season. $30M with $5M buyout.

We might trade Gray and Chapman.

If Duran or Story have any value, in July, maybe they go.

Yoshida might just get DFA'd.

Whitlock has two club options, but maybe he goes.

Bello lost his trade value. I'm not sure he can gain any back by the end of July.

Salary relief? Nobody’s going to take him with the way his contract is structured. He’s makes $6M this year, $8.5M in 2027, $16M in 2028 and $19M in 2029.  There’s also a $21M club option in 2030 with a $1M buyout.

The Sox would have to pay 90% of that money for someone to take him.  There’s no salary relief.
