Woof, I hadn't really noticed Bello's numbers until this morning. This team is in pretty dire shape.

Only this time he actually needs to be his own opener.

Tolle gave up a HR to the leadoff hitter and a couple of loud outs in the first, then went shutdown for multiple innings. Looking for same from Bello

Sogard in for Durbin. The defensive whiz has been Pipped and is now a late inning defensive replacement

Bello has been pitching much better lately.   Not sure if he gets back into the top ten in AL ERA anytime soon.   But the turnaround helps…

If Bello continues to pitch at the same level as his last two appearances, his earlier crap starts will be forgotten, IMHO.

But I’d still put him in the bullpen when Crochet returns.  Not so much for his performance but rather for the bullpen’s.  They need help…

The other factor is that Suarez, Gray, Tolle and Early deserve to stay in the rotation more than Bello.

#2-5 are posting numbers that make sense for a competitive team , although Gasper's are a SSS .

Duran must find a way to get on base in front of them , and not get picked off or thrown out stealing.

I hope Sogard comes out red hot for at least 2 weeks .

The month of May is less fragile, so I'll go with May 31.

For whatever reason Bello just can’t pitch in the 1st inning. They fixed that by putting him in the second and was actually working fine. They changed what was working to what was not working. They love to do things that doesn’t work like putting Story everyday at SS, and yet people still wonder why this team still sucks. In my book everyone should be fired. They are beyond inept.
