Having guys who played the game agreeing with my position carries more weight than you having a different opinion for sure. You always seem to be on the wrong side of Memphis, which is probably why your average is so low, and you K so much.

Overanalyzing again, I see. LMAO.

What's funny is that I didnt even have a different opinion than you, so if I was wrong, so were you. You crack me up!

I'm sure your street corner buddies all agree with you.

Henry made a nice statement about Cora.

I've always liked and supported Cora.  I'm not sure that he deserved to be fired, but as you said, something needed to be done.  The team is underperforming at a level that is unprecedented.  I wish Cora well.  He will have no problems getting another job.

Fatse and the other hitting coaches definitely needed to go, IMO.  Their approach/philosophy was not working at all.

Agreed, but nor really unprecedented.

The 2019 team had super high expectations and started out 11-17.

2020 was historic, and we started out 10-20.

2022 has some high promise after 2021, and we started out 10-19.

2024 started out okay, but then we had a 4-11 stretch in early May to go from 18-13 to 22-24.

Devers, Bogey, Beni, Vaz, Verdugo, Refsnyder and others got worse after leaving and many were not post-prime.

Verdugo and Beni? Really? Ref has been gone 2 minutes. Vaz was on the down slope.

I didn’t hear anyone on the airwaves today sad to see Cora go, and in fact most said it was overdue. IMO Cora was overrated, and lived off the laurels of 2018, which was a pretty stacked team. Even Farrell won a championship in his first year with less of a lineup. I think Cora thought he was untouchable, and  was until now. Cora not shown any love out in other venues is pretty bad looking for him considering how low of an opinion people have for JH, Sam, and Brez.

Yes

Beni left at 25 y/0 with a 107 OPS+ and went to 101 from ages 26-31.

Verdugo lest at age 27 with a 104 OPS+. He's been 79 at ages 28-29- peak prime years.

Okay, Ref is past prime. but he and Romy did much better after joining BOS.

I would assume the 900 OPS would have included lots of LHP action. I think he's going to learn to hit LHP while in MLB. He won't be the first.

Everyone does.  You can't learn to hit lefties in the minors because there are very few good lefties in the minors.

As I posted in another thread - Cora and his coaches had a lot to answer for.

Hamilton has an OPS barely over .600 with 1 extra base hit and. 0.3 WAR this season… That is what front office is considering “playing well” and what they’re mad about?

I know you said Duran batting leadoff was a stupid idea

I don't who said what to whom, but just to put this to rest, over the last 3 seasons, Duran has an .811 OPS out of the lead-off position.  He should automatically lead off every game until at least the ASB.

Benintendi had 1.6 war over his last two years with us. Then went 2.9, 2.9, 2.3 per season elsewhere.

Verdugo actually did better than I thought year 1  with Yankees.

If we can't judge Hamilton, we certainly can't judge Ref.

Mad enough to make heads roll, supposedly!

LMAO.

Next, we'll hear they are upset for letting Moncada get away.
