3 out of 4 starts for Bello have been pretty bad so far. I don't know what's going on with him.

He's dialed back his sweeper usage and increased his cutter and sinker. The sinker used to be his best pitch, but it looks like he's leaving it up and it's getting rocked. Lots of hard contact. Velo seems down across the board too.

He nibbles too much, especially against bad hitters. He needs to challenge guys.

Bello's gonna be nibbling on Triple A buffets soon if he doesn't.

Tolle took a big bite outta the rotation last night.

Early will get sent down for his additional year of control before Bello is sent down.

Because in six years when he's earned market value, the smartest men in last place won't have to pay him what he's worth.

Because after KC, they're never giving another extension again.

That one is still mystifying.

If it was just a Boston front office mistake, we could understand because that's where each Assistant Vice President is the smartest guy in a phone booth.

But all the minor league evaluators and presumably observers got together and named Campbell Minor League Player of the Year.

Something had to happen besides pitchers writing a book on how to exploit KC's swing. Right now he's got a 33% K-rate in Triple A with one homer (geez, he'd fit right in on the parent club).

But I've watched him carefully many times in person, and he still does not look like a big leaguer at any position. And tonight's preview -- not starting line-ups yet -- lists him back at 2B?

He's played zero games in IF this year. Hard to see him getting put there tonight as they already have a few guys that can already play decent defense there. I think he's just still listed as 2b on MiLB's site so it has his defensive position put there for the preview.

Just another chance for Cora to snatch a loss from the jaws of victory, with his awesome bullpen moves like last night, where he chose to keep Whitlock chewing bubblegum in the pen, while two arsonists did their work. Cora is a effin genius. Bello??? Oh dear God i felt compelled to compare him to Dave Morehead, and then I Remembered that Morehead did pitch a no hitter for a very bad Red Sox team of the early 60's, think it was 63 off the top of my noggin. Bello the way he tries to get too cute with batters seriously reminds me how the Oil Can used to drive me nuts trying to nibble at the corners with .230 hitters.

I love Oil Can because he looked cool as hell and it seemed like he was the starting pitcher every time I went to Fenway when I was younger.

He can't throw strikes. What, 35+ pitches in inning #1 in his last start. He needs to be traded as soon as he hits a hot streak.

I've decided its STUPID to try to get an extra year. Can you name a player that we benefitted from holding back a player?

Seriously, I had completely forgotten about Campbell.

Hopefully, a year from now I can completely forget about this current team.
