All great lists of albums, but I couldn't find one old hippy with Allman Brothers' At Filmore East.

Still one of the all-time best live LPs -- with tye-die video on youtube -- and it didn't even include "One Way Out" or "Trouble No More"... (which are on Eat A Peach; also highly recommended).

I'm always troubled by the song 'No One To Run With'.  It's a constant reminder to make the most of our time with the people we still have.

Indeed. That song rings true to us older people, but youngsters should take heed, too.

The Allman Brothers were a great band, and Duane's death really hurt, but they have so many great songs. Some of my faves are

Dreams

Midnight Ride, Statesboro Blues

Stormy Monday and Whipping Post (Live at the Fillmore)

Little Martha & Blue Sky, Melissa, One Way Out & Aint Wasting Time No More

Jessica & Rambling Man

Easily the best southern rock band ever.

I'm actually going to see Deep Purple tonight LOL.

Hey, can a community moderator say that?

I just wanted to repeat what I said elsewhere today.

Why would anyone want Story back RIGHT NOW when his replacement is 4th in AL OPS for shortstops?

I mentioned wasting money on guys like Sandoval, $18M+ for 30+ innings of work over two years.

Can we not spend $10M and get a full time DH? Please? It's not so easy to be a DH, especially handled by 5 different players.

Not in my musical world. I purposely own nothing by Marshall Tucker. I can't stand them, so my follow up would be Drive-By Truckers.

Come on man...

I ain't never been with a woman long enough for my boots to get old...

By itself is worth something.

This link is not about Sox injuries.

Neither is the ongoing classic rock conversation. It'd be great over there. That forum used to get a lot of traction with this kind of conversation.

I was supposed to grow up in the Seventies, when Southern rock was the soundtrack of my baseball fandom. Music and the Sox often overlapped as big parts of my culture. Before we went out on weekends, there were plenty of early nights spent listening to records, talking ball and toasting beers to favorite ballplayers.

This begs the question: what decade did you grow up in, if not the decade of Jim Rice's playoff injury?

Please squeeze in a Sox injury aspect to your answer,

1. Let me just get these cowboy boots on... Owww, my friggin' back!

2. I'm going to go take the trash out, dear... Owww, my freakin' hand!

I was a teen in the Seventies and rue the hbp by Ruhle, but in the late-70s media got on "Fragile Freddie" Lynn for missing games with various maladies. Uninformed fans also booed Yaz for low production in the early part of the decade when he always played hurt (I swear he taped his bat to his bad hand and wrist).

But since I played baseball until I was 60, I always reference the movie Major League, when an ex-girlfriend tells the catcher, "You're still the little boy who never grew up."

The decade of the 2010s should be the obvious answer, because that's when my son was born. But I kept playing ball in a competitive old-timer's league with ex-pros and ex-D1 stars until Covid. This decade I've lived vicariously coaching and watching my son through Little League All-Stars, Legion and travel ball...

... so this is still an open-ended answer.

Followed by Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I would reverse that order at a minimum.  Also need to get CCR some love on that list…

I've often told myself to never grow up, but I've never been accused of having Peter Pan Syndrome. I did hurt my knee once, like a few Sox players. (Keeping on topic here.)

As much as I love CCR they're actually from the Berkeley area of California, so I would argue whether they qualify as Southern rock.

Because hot hitters can get cold and cold hitters can get hot.  And also, Monasterio isnt really a SS, and who is playing 2b right now? Sogard?  Plus with Yoshidas injury, there may be some DH opportunities.

Also, Story is professional, mature and a team leader.

Is that why he pouted when Cora was fired and had to get benched?

They're generally referred to as 'swamp rock.'

But they sang “Born on the Bayou”, “Green River”, “Chooglin’” and it’s follow up “Keep On Chooglin’”…

Cotillo is reporting Story said he could be active on Friday against SF.🙈

But how active: cheering and swinging on the railing in front of the dugout with Seigler... or diving in the SS hole to rob Devers, swiping second on a pop-up slide, and yanking one onto Lansdowne when it's late and close?

The possibilities are endless. The probabilities not so much.🤔

Striking out 4 times active…
