Including free agents?

Casas can't even participate in baseball activities anymore. His body is toast. Liked him as a player. Loved his quirkiness. It's over.

Because Florida's out -- that's where they sent Anthony, and the Sox don't want teammates rehabbing too near each other so they won't fool around, even if they already have longterm contracts and are set for life.

There's been a rash of alligator attacks lately. Having Anthony here is risky enough, but he just goes from the batting cage to the nearest mid Italian restaurant for a few pops. Whitlock is much more likely to go fishing and exhibit risky behavior.

So apparently he and his brother had similar expiration dates?

I want his 40 man roster spot going to like Brooks Bannon or username, personally.

im not against non-tendering casas and then signing him to a minor league deal, even maybe one that slightly overpays him to keep him as a lottery ticket.  BUt I also want Owen Hull on the team next year.

Nah. They are fine, but you don't need to protect them this year.

The most they can give Casas on an MiLB deal is $200K plus a $100K signing bonus.

Brannon has like 20 ding-dongs in 200 at bats.  But I agree hes kinda cusp.

There won't be a Rule 5 Draft this year due to the lockout, so there's no reason to add them at this point.

i still want owen though, but he doesnt have to start the year on the 40 man.  I jsut feel like a power NCAA conference is between AA and AAA so you dont need to ride up through the minors anymore.  Its not like hes 18 drafted out of high school.

I dont love him in A+.  Call him up, now!!

Yall can drool over your 5'11 chubby catcher all you want.  Me ill back the 6'3 Owen , 5 tools, fast and strong, just hit .400 in ACC which is a top 3 NCAA baseball conf.  Frankie Pasta Primavera couldnt even make the tar heels right now, and owen was their best player.

Your prospect rankings are wack.

Chubby catchers in A at #2/3 lololololol

Plus, if they're playing drinking games with the gators, Anthony is less vulnerable because he knows pointing is banned -- under penalty of a guzzle -- though his bad digit is supposedly a ring finger.

Whitlock is at a disadvantage with a bum elbow, which we all know is the preferred pointer in drinking games. And that guy could lose an entire arm instead of just a joint or two off an index finger, getting too close to a gator,

Needs to shut it down! The last injury sounds like he was doing too much too fast. With him being hurt so much the last two years he was trying to get back yesterday.

Absolutely not.

Everyone in AA and AAA is a professional baseball player.  This is not true of the players in the SEC..

Every time you type Casas’ name, one of his liver cells dies…

Lock out or not, I'd protect him.

Hell, I'm thinking of promoting him to MLB and demoting Duran to the bench or AAA.

DH: Brannon v L and Yoshida v R

LF: Yoshida v L and White or Duran v R

Too bad Brannon isnt a LHB, and we could nix Duran from even consideration.
