With posts like that, you're obviously only here to razz Sox fans, not to add anything to any discussions.  Same old same old.

I simply stated the truth. If you don't like my comment then feel free to use the ignore button.

I'm here to talk baseball, not get involved in your back and forth personal attacks.

Well, at least you haven't lost your sense of humor.

the Twins suck even more than the Red Sox do

They both have the same record over the past 10 games. Twins have a better run differential this season. I think the two teams are fairly evenly matched, but the Sox have nothing to play for and the Twins are still in the WC race. If there's a sweep, it would be ugly for the Sox IMO.

AUG & SEP

21-25 MIN (RS 198- RA 205)

19-26 BOS (RS 192- RA 217)

JULY>SEP

33-35 MIN (RS 309- RA 317)

32-37 BOS (RS 333- RA 362)

I find it hard to say MIN is worse than us, right now.

By rule, somebody has to win the third wildcard in the A.L.  No matter how hard they try not to, it has to happen for one team.

Detroit seems to want it.

Best ERA- on Sox, so far this year... (14 pitchers with 40+ IP)

ERA-: Slaten 71, Houck 75, Martin 78, Booser & Weissert 79, Jansen 80, Criswell 90

SIERA: Martin 2.35, Slaten 2.71, Pivetta 3.23, Jansen 3.44, Houck & Bernardino 3.69

xFIP-: Martin 61, Slaten 69, Pivetta 83, Houck 86, Bello 94

K%-BB%: Martin 28, Pivetta 24, Slaten 23, Jansen 19, Crawford 16

HR/9: Houck o.57, Slaten & Jansen 0.68, Criswell 0.92

Not much has been said about how the loss of Slaten really h8urt the team.

the Sox still think they are in the race

The thing is, we could sweep MIN and still see the "tragic number" go down to 4 or 5.

Detroit is making a move.

tonight should seal the deal but watch the Sox go on a mini streak to move us down a couple draft pick slots

Rays catch us at 76-78.

Devers likely done for the season.

Sox have to go 2-6 for the Three-peat.

Thank God the Red Sox extended Alex Cora the most overrated manager in Red Sox history IMO. Under his leadership the Red Sox have now gone 3 years in a row without making the postseason, and now Cora has a chance to make it 6 years in a row.🤭🙈

I do notice that Cora is talking differently this year.  Last year he sent some messages to the front office about being frustrated with the deficiencies in the roster.  This year there's very little of that, everything seems much more upbeat and philosophical.  I guess that's what happens when you get paid.

Realistically the season is over. I would like to personally thank John Henry for another excellent season.

And John thanks you for any financial contributions, and reminds you once again to maintain realistic expectations.

This is the first year since 2006 I did not attend a game, I had been thinking about it the past few weeks; tonight might of been the date.

i think I’ll bow out this year.

After last night's snooze fest, the tragic number is down to four. Never give up.

We need to go 8-0 or 7-1 and hope all 3 teams ahead of us to go sub .500.

If we go 7-1 or 6-2, we need other teams to go 2-6 or 1-7.

The fat lady is singing. I know you can hear her.

The fat lady may be warming up to sing, but I feel better about the Red Sox future today than I did this time last year

we are literally two starting pitchers and two relievers away from the playoffs

I think we had the same record as last year, when we finished 2-6. Yes, I hope we can do better than that, but that doesn't mean the fat lady isn't singing as loudly as last year, at this time.

I think Duran should at least be a finalist as well, he’s been awesome in left and center.

Maybe if he played just one position, all year, he'd have a better chance, but he has had a really outstanding year on defense, while proving he is a legit MLB hitter. Kudos to Duran for an very nice season.

I'm not sure how much room there is to get any better, but if he does, WOW!

I'll take the same for the remainder of his time, here. He is the Sox MVP, this year. (I'd put Houck 2nd and Devers 3rd.)

The third wild card rule is ridiculous.  Having a sub .500 team be in contention with a week to go should be an embarrassment to MLB.  But the Lords of Baseball are immune to embarrassment so long as the money is rolling in.

sounds just like an owner in Boston we all know and loathe
