Zack Kelly vs. Chris Flexen

Everything looks to be in place for another beautiful exhibition of baseball.

Minor League, or Major League?

This looks just awful.

No Devers. No O'Neill. No Abreu.

Now, watch us score 14 runs.

Yeah, 14 runs over the next 2 weeks. Devers and O'Neill with the tender knees. Their upper body types put added strain on their lower body structures like knees , feet and ankles . This could be a rehab lineup at WooSox without a big stretch of imagination.

Where would we be without Dalbec to play 3 positions ?

Not one player in the starting line-up who wasn't in the minors the last couple years.

But McGuire only did a quick rehab stint in Worcester. So Reese is our veteran BIG leaguer.

Zack Kelly as a starter and a parade of relievers makes me wonder where this crew is actually going. Still in the first half of the season and the lineup and pitching is a patchwork quilt of lame and wounded.

Lots of confidence the team will score today unlike yesterday. Reversion to the mean and all that.

With all the SOX injuries it's gonna be tough for WOO to make the PO's.

Message to Breslow: Your starting infield in game #66 is Dalbec ( not at 1B, 3B), Hamilton, Valdez and Dom Smith. Cooper and Jamie Westbrook ( know him ?) are your bench today

Good luck Craig, the clock is ticking. Maybe you need to consider some moves now or you could say Wake the F UP !

On the plus side, Craig, unlike Bloom, won't have any reason for uncertainty about which lane to pick at this year's trade deadline.

One time through this ragged-ass lineup and Flexen has the perfect game going. Red Sox batting discipline is almost non-existent. Always down 2 strikes, always swinging at ball 4

Keep in mind just how bad this Chicago team really is, as shown in their 17-48 record, even when it contains the last 2 wins vs Boston. The pitching is bad and there are few, if any, real threats at bat.

You really have to question how many Sox players starting today would be taken by other teams even if Breslow asked for no compensation and offered to pay out their 2024 salary

Similar to when one puts an item by the road with a 'free' sign and it's still there a week later.

JH held a rare interview yesterday where he stated SOX fans expect too much. "It's like they want to win a WS every two years."

Encouraging words from the SOX owner.

The mere fact that Henry made that comment, telling the fans to tone down their expectations tells all about the limitations he put on both Bloom and now Breslow. Bloom was a ditherer but we know Breslow was a competitor . Henry will strangle this franchise for another 20 years . Maybe he will die first

Given a huge 1-0 lead , Red Sox infield defenders determined to blow it up. Poor plays and poor efforts by Slaten and Hamilton, but what is new ?

3 straight errors followed by a 3 run jack by about the only WS capable of doing so. Red Sox sucking fumes at this stage. Bullpen games remain bullpen roulette, and they just shot themselves

Refsynder kills the big inning with a double play grounder. He sucks.

Is this the only game you've watched, this year?

.804 Wong

.782 DHam

.758 O'Neill

Looking like the April Sox, again on D.

Basically Rafaela, Duran and Wong are only future major league starters and Rafaela has a ways to go. Ref is a valuable bench player, not a full timer.

You won't win too many games with that lineup.

Sell, sell, sell....maybe we'll get something similar to Abreu, hopefully a young starter with potential.

If it got to be the 9th inning and Sox were tied or down by one run, would you pinchhit either or both of O'Neill and/or Devers ? A dilemma for Cora because this may be your last chance to win for a week.

On the other hand another loss in Chicago won't change the season one way or another. If the injuries, major and minor don't stop, the rest of this year is sunk , providing Ownership/FO with the perfect excuse----It wasn't us, it was your over expectations
