It's all good bro...You always respond to everybody. It doesn't matter if they have 1 post or 50,000. I seen all of the posts you posted on from stats and all the other stuff on BDC. I don't agree with you on the Brady stuff though.( you know that) That's for another time and thread. I pay no mind to that type of s***..... proceed

I'm still a Packer fan from my Milwaukee days. What can I say?

Pablo? Dude hasn't even swung a bat yet.

You mean he's been working out at 3B here in Ft Myers and hasn't even swung a bat? That's hard to imagine. Ten years ago when they were over there off Edison Ave., I would have spent a little time checking it out. But those days are gone forever!

Reportedly his shoulder is no where near ready for much baseball activity. That's what he says, anyway.

Love the city.

I did too. We lived two blocks from the old County Stadium where the Brewers played and the Packers as well for a game a year.

[h=2]"Pablo Sandoval Hopes To Retire A Giant"[/h]But he is retiring with all Red Sox money. JH is still waiting for the money from all that Panda gear to start rolling in.

How about just retire, go back to your home, live like a millionaire and GTFOOH ? The worst kind of quitter. No baseball contract should be guaranteed betond the year you fail to show in condition or the next at maximum. Baseball contracts are one way crapshoots in favor of the player.

No they're not. They are a way of ensuring that the players get money that otherwise would be pocketed by the owners. If the owners don't like guaranteed salaries, then they can offer players something equally valuable in the next CBA.

It's a system that permitted the Red Sox to pay Mookie Betts only $2.035 million from 2015-17 while Betts posted 18.4 fWAR, valued at $147.2 million.

https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=6&season=2017&month=0&season1=2015&ind=0&team=3&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=2015-01-01&enddate=2017-12-31

Betts had no right to negotiate a higher salary with the Red Sox or with any other team.

The Milwaukee Brewers have no qualms with Christian Yelich's seven-year, $49.57 million contract, as Yelich has posted 15.4 fWAR, valued at $123.1 million, over the last two seasons alone.

If contracts are not guaranteed, a player would be free to jump ship at any time.

That's not how it works in the NFL. The only option is to hold out, and while MLB rarely sees that issue, it has happened, notably in the 1990-1991 off-season when both reigning MVP's Rickey Henderson and Barry Bonds held out....

@WEEI

Pablo Sandoval says he wishes he never signed with the Red Sox

A sentiment echoed by every Ref Sox fan…

Personally, I don't dabble in wishes about re-writing the past. It's such a waste of time.

In retrospect, I'm glad he came to the Sox.

It was nice to see the FO get depantsed like that with:

1. dumb panda hats

2. a broken belt buckle

3. a player that had previous weight/health concerns that were already blasted to the media

4. "a proven postseason performer"

Is writing about not wanting to write about this more productive?

Lol

Not writing about that leaves me more time to waste on other stuff here. :)

I need to relitigate if they took too long to DFA Hanley Ramirez.

Now that was something that got dumped in DD's lap.
