Who would thought a few years ago we’d all be excited about Chapman striking out Devers…

Yeah that’s wild to say the least lol

Best game I’ve seen this trip! Felt like a playoff win, especially after the Yaz strikeout to get out of the 8th

Were you there Thunder?

Yessir! Was in all 3 games in Seattle and now I’m in SF for the weekend! Been a blast so far

If Thunder was there, that would explain the Sox winning.

Anybody want to fund my trip to Wrigley next month?

if not, I’ll still probably be in DC on the 4th of July. Just a 3.5 hour drive from Pittsburgh

Hey well my long in person win streak ended in April in Cleveland, and I also got to witness the 8-0 stinker in Seattle on Tuesday. But I guess when you go to 6 games in a row like I am this week, you’re bound to see a loss here or there

The Sox w/l record when Thunder's at the game has been unbelievable.

Brez could go down in history with a simple hire.

Wrigley is awesome. I went a few weeks ago. Don’t recommend the other Chicago teams stadium though!

I saw my first MLB game at Wrigley back in 1968. I've been a baseball fan, ever since.

I saw the Sox at Wrigley in 2022 so I don’t feel a compulsive need to go again just yet. Plus this trip made a dent in my bank account. Maybe I should take a few months to rest up before I go see Oregon play Penn State in September!

How about our 8-9 batters snapping us out of our scoring slump?

5 for 8 from DHam + Rafaela

2 HRs and a 2B

3 Runs and 4 RBI

Welcome back Wilyer (2 for 4 and back to .800.)

Duran looked keyed in and focused (2-5 w a big SB)

You really should start a Go Fund Me.

Crochet 16 10 - 6
Dobbins 9 7 - 3
Bello 11 6 - 5
Giolito 9 6 - 3
Buehler 12 7 - 5
    36 - 22

This worthless stat says the team is doing okay when this starting five is pitching,

Watching Raffy busting down the line on a grounder to second last night... I'm just glad that his groinknee finally looks fully healed -- wouldn't you know it, the instant he left Boston for San Fran.

Maybe the nightly Bay breeze blowing at his back made him look faster, but only an elite talent such as he could use it to his advantage. Devers is a baserunning savant!

Yeah all of the sudden Devers can run as well. He had to go.

They're awful on a lot of nights and days. Too bad they're never held accountable.

Eddington has issues with consistency and as proven to be the equivalent of Angel Hernandez and Laz Diaz. Tough watch every time they put on the face mask and pads.

Rate is not so bad.  You can actually park there and it’s easy to get good seats.

But be careful.  If you guess who wins the sausage race, you’re forced to join the White Sox bullpen…

The press loves it, the big bad Red Sox mistreating their talented and highly paid star.  What a story!  Some of it's true, but I like what Cora said:  it's a trade; that's baseball; end of story.

So far the Sox are not suffering from his departure nor the Giants gaining from it.  But it's early.  I don't doubt Raffy will help the Giants, but probably won't be as good without Bregman batting after him.  Meanwhile, the Sox are 11-3 since they were 30-35 on June 6.  Raffy contributed very little to that run and Bregman nothing at all.

Last night was a riveting game because of all the background and especially because the 10-3 streak was thanks almost entirely to the Sox pitching.  Would the Sox ever hit again?  Would that even be possible without Raffy (and Bregman)?  So the 7-5 win was special.

Sox fans are or should be going ape.  And that makes today's game as irresistible as last night's.  We just might have ourselves a season.

How can anyone watch how Devers looked last night and listen to what he said in the presser about "playing anywhere they want me to play," say there was not a big problem with him in BOS?

It's not about less smiles.

It's not about sitting by himself at the end of the dugout steps.

He was dogging it: now, he's not.

He was not stepping up to say he'll help the team anyway they need him; now, he is saying all the right things.

Our FO is not off the hook or blameless, but neither is Devers.

Thunder, if you could actually influence what happens on the field, you would never have to worry about your bank account again.
