Big question is can he enter 5th inning with less than 80 pitches thrown. That's all I need to know.

Someone in the pen will blow it.

It doesn't help that we'll only be up by one, at best. Ugh.

What a bunch of losers. Starts with Brez and Cora, then Story.

The Red Sox definitely are not must watch TV. Sounds like self inflicted pain by doing so to me.😂

There's definitely some masochism involved in being a baseball fan.  The crazy thing is how much we look forward each year to the season starting.  🙃

I don’t lump Story in with the other 2.  He’s a once decent player whose body has betrayed him and as I’ve said in other posts, he busted his ass getting back on the field last September to help the Sox in their attempt to reach the postseason.  That alone says he doesn’t have a loser mentality.  He’s gotten old quickly. His injuries have been almost freaky.  He certainly is no Panda.  The big question will be will Henry be willing to eat the contract so the Sox can release him.

Cora and Breslow are in a power struggle and it’s hurting the team big time.

5.51 career daytime ERA

Yet Bello's last 2, maybe more, starts have been the rare daytime games.   It may be his turn in the rotation and maybe there is no one else who could switch off, but why does Cora make it harder than it already is.

I hope Bello throws well, he doesn't pitch, for the team's sake  but he clearly doesn't like the light of day

Here's why Anthony should be called up to the majors.

Avg. OPS.  Hits/AB        Player

.120 .280 9-75 in May, Campbell

.146 .387 7-48 in 2025, Wong

.151 .404 13-84 in May, Story (if you go back little further, he's 15-118

.197 .540 14-71 in 2025, Hamilton

.213 .651 19-89 in May, Abreu

.221 .605 38-172 in 2025, Rafaela (Gold Glover, batting 9th)

Does Cora sees this?

You have Mayer, our 2nd best minor league prospect, hitting clean up today.

But apparently Anthony has more to learn in AAA.

Let's hear all the excuses why you can't make this happen. You are losing the fan base vey quickly.

We don't want to watch Story hit. He's been hurt, he tries....blah blah blah

He makes frekin $21M. He gets no sympathy from me.

Book Anthony a plane ticket to ATL for this weekend. Play Campbell at 1B. Keep Mayer at 3B for now. Play Anthony in LF every day. Take your lumps for the rest of the season.

Thank you, Nick.  Good portrayal of what  has failed so far this year.  Multiple young players  and a couple vets who have combined to make an impotent offense .

I do think the decision on Anthony is in Breslow's hands, not Cora's, and that may be why there are  comments on  relationship issues between the 2 alleged adults in the room.

Another embarrassing loss coming up. It definitely can't all be blamed on the pitching. First blown save by Chapman. But when your players are only generating an avg less than 3 runs per game it falls directly on this douchebag

Each day the win rate required to get to even 86 wins moves higher.   This season  and the players left standing  are not ready for a big run, so yes, take the lumps of getting 4 true rookies*, a couple of other young players** and 1 old DH  through the year , reset next off season.

*=Campbell, Mayer, Anthony , Narvaez      **= Abreu, Rafaela    You can guess at the old DH

Season: 4.74 runs/game

May: 4.24 runs/game

Last two weeks: 4.15 runs/game

Last week: 4.42 runs/game

Those numbers are skewed because of 19 runs against Baltimore

It just like Story's batting avg overall it's

222. See how many hits he has in his last 20 at bats.

Devers is the oldest 28 year old on the team.

Other position players 27-29: Duran, Hamilton, Wong, Romy, Sogard, Toro

This is a little over the top, calling Cora a douchebag that is.

They scored 4+ runs in 31 games so far. The Dodgers have done so 35 times and they have the 2nd most runs scored in MLB (Sox are 6th). Every team has a game or two where they score a bunch of runs.

Why Cora insists on lining up Story is beyond me.
