I'm ready for The Password. Why not?

If you believe in the Big Three, remember Garcia led all Red Sox minor leaguers in home runs last year. And he's doing it again this season.

He's currently tied with Anthony, who hit 11 in 212 at bats for Worcester. Garcia has 8 so far in WOO, but in only 110 ABs. Roman had a .914 OPS in 2025 Triple A; Garcia has a .993 OPS so far.

The Password swings righty and is a good outfielder. Maybe he'll come up and catch MLB whiff disease, like a lot of new guys. As we've seen this year, not every rookie immediately catches fire. But as history shows, not all promoted prospects are all wet, either.

This is the Year of the Red Sox Rookies. No reason to stop now. As soon as Breslow trades an outfielder -- which better happen in the next month -- let's see what Joe Stinson can do. Put it this way: on a team going nowhere, it's better than trading any promising young pitching for some old, half-washed power bat, just to get through another half season of mediocrity.

I'm reading that he will be promoted to the 40 to protect him from the rule V draft. Sounds like an interesting prospect. Our only real 'problem' is that our outfield is too full. It's hard enough finding playing time for Roman Anthony.

Also Yoshida will be rehabbing next week with an eye for a return to the MLB roster.

Unless we trade an outfielder first like Durran or Rafaela, the Password will probably stay in the minor leagues. Maybe he'll get a cup of coffee when rosters expand for September 1st.

Surely Anthony, Duran, Abreu, or Rafaela are going to get dinged up at some point.

First OF called up from AAA might be an ideal role for a good, but not great prospect.

Sox can't pull the ball. If they could, they'd be hitting it out more.

My biggest concern with Campbell - even more so than his defence - his inability to pull the ball. He's pulling at half the rate of league average.

Jhostnyxon “The Password” Garcia was added to the 40 man roster last November..,

Red Sox since trading away Devers, 3-6.

2 wins against the mariners, 1 win against the giants.

6 losses to mariners, giants, and angels combined including a sweep by Angels.

They are playing .333 baseball.

Great way for the front office to sabotage our season just as we were starting to play winning baseball.

I hate them so much. Will FSG ever sell the Red Sox to make way for serious owners?

Puny samples, but since the trade the Giants are 3-5 and Devers has a .608 OPS.

He's Johnston to me.  The leftover X and Y can be used as initials.

In his first game back at AAA he had two XBH, but both were OPPO! 😑

Needs to spend more time with Dillon Lawson.

Yeah I caught that. Difficult to understand what's happening there at the moment

The only pitch he has pulled to the OF in AAA was a smoking EV of 83 mph and went 270'. He's turned into Chase Meidroth, if Chase was a horrible fielder.

Chase 0.9 WAR has 55 hits in the majors. KC -0.9 WAR has 51.

Maybe Brez offered Campbell for Crochet, but the White Sox insisted on Meidroth...

Soft stretch in the schedule coming up now. If the Sox do poorly in that, it will be real trouble. If,as is very possible, they do well , hope will be reborn. The sun will come out and the Fenway " faithful" will climb back on the bandwagon . What will it be?  Gloom and doom or seashells and balloons? Stay tuned for the answer.

This team lost 3 games to the White Sox and went 1-5 vs the Angels. There is no series that is possibly too soft for them.

Off topic , but it seems that most of the threads are now started by " contributors" .  Usually rather lengthy articles written by bloggers and/or aspiring sports writers with a somewhat similar style.  And we have several new members with rather odd names who are trying to be somewhat provocative.  I am not complaining. No problem with it. It just has been a pretty noticeable change in this forum.  Maybe an effort to get more traffic and more advertising ?  As I stated, this is not a complaint, just an observation.

And they want to run this like a Tampa Rays forum.  Even if it means packaging mvp with dgalehouse’s contract to make it happen…

Going forward?

1. Duran DH

2. Bregman 3B

3. Abreu-Refsnyder RF

4. Mayer 2B

5. Narvaez C

6. Story SS

7. Anthony LF

8. Rafaela CF

9. Campbell 1B

Bench: Wong, RF'er, 1Bman, Eaton

Maybe trade Duran and call up Jh Garcia?

Agree with trading Duran> Abreu. But right now we are a bad team for the fourth year in a row. And there’s really no cogent reason for optimism this year or likely next. Something drastic has to happen. I’d fire Breslow and Cora and start over. If the Rays can be competitive year after year with less than half our budget there’s no reason we can’t do it too.

The young lineup will have ups and downs!!!

but first things first, we have to fix the rotation!! We need a number 2 starter desperately!!!! (And a number 3, unless you think giolita is for real)

I'm okay with anything if it helps the team.

Yes, and teams like he Astros can keep winning by spending about what we do, while seeing 5 of their best 8 SP'ers out for near full or the full season.

They lost Correa, Springer, Tucker, Cole, Verlander and on and on...

Nobody is really bitching, here in Houston. They keep winning.

Cody Williams suggested Garcia (password) plus others for alcantera of Miami!!!
We have to face facts, alcanterra’s control is abysmal at best!! And we already have a guy with serious control issues already on staff now in buehler!!!  &nbsp

but as the season is progressing alcanterra is figuring it out while buehler is getting worse

The question is should bres-slow try to put together a deal for alcanterra by the trade deadline????

That’s solid proof of really bad management from the owners down to the manager.

This is a prediction, since we're on the verge of doldrum's just another word for nothing left to lose.

(maybe it should be on the Realistic 2026 thread...)

Under heavy advice by Theo Epstein, John Henry will make an offer to Tampa to buy out Kevin Cash's contract so he can sign the richest contract ever rewarded to a big league manager. Remember, Theo set the precedent a decade ago when he stole Joe Maddon from the Rays to manage his curse-busting Cubs.

Don't worry, Cora fans -- AC will be at the presser smiling, after getting bumped up into the front office.

I can hear it, now. Back to the Rays North.

I'm liable to tank a whole summer like 2012, just in case any other forum is interested.
