Wander Franco is an Uber talented 22 year old switch hitting 5 tool player. His weakness? He’s a pedophile. Is this immorally and ethically an issue? Sure, but you won’t have a chance to acquire a guy like his often: similar to how the Yankees acquired Aroldis Chapman when he beat his wife. The Yankees bought low on Chapman, traded him for Gleyber Torres:

Yeah I date a 25 year old and work with many teenage girls in HS/college and can tell you those teenage girls definitely aren’t passing for 25, absolutely not 29, and half of them aren’t even getting in bars… not sure what “teenage girls” are looking 29.

That's fine, and that's fair, sometimes context and tone get lost through text so perhaps my own bias read that as someone who is just very skeptical and always thinks women and men make up false sexual assault allegations. This does happen, but the majority of the time that is not the case. I think everyone is due justice, and a chance to defend themselves, but the former actions are just an insult and a slap in the face to people who have been traumatized.

My rule is they have to be closer to my age than my daughters, but I'm also a 41-year-old male at his sexual market value peak; so that gives me a slim window of 27-34. I won't go younger or higher.

 

There also seems to be something about the number 15. Two of my ex-girlfriends dated men (they were 34 and 29) who were 15 years older than them and even my ex-wife dated a guy who was precisely 15 years older than her both before our marriage and currently.

The problem here is that people are taking what was clearly a satirical post about " buying low " by Stephen Curry and getting all worked up over it. As for Wander Franco; we should wait until all of the facts come out before condemning him. But it is another example of why you should be careful about putting anyone on a pedestal. Athletes are no different than anyone else. A lot of good people but definitely some rotten apples as well.
