Just the sight of seeing Bloom’s face turns my stomach, and him trying to talk over the crowd at the meet, and greet last offseason shows what an ass clown he really is. He is good at picking up trash in the stands though, so at least that’s one good thing about him, because he’s definitely not Awesome, and neither is the team.

1. The sight of him turns your stomach? Weird.

2. He wasn't talking "over the crowd" or over anyone asking questions, he was the one being yelled over. Even weirder response.

The whole “upside” thing is bothering you? Seriously?

I think every free agent ever was signed based on “upside”. Did you expect him (or any GM ever) to suggest they were going to sign a pitcher based on “downside”?

I mean, he traded Josh Taylor for Adalberto Mondesi.

Taylor 2023: 17.2 Inn, 8.15 ERA, 409 BABIP, xERA 4.93, career high exit velo, career high barrel rate, 0.0 fWAR

Adalberto: DNR

Seems like a fair trade so far on the floor of both guys.

The crowd wasn’t smelling what Bloom was, or is cooking, so what may be weird to you doesn’t mean it would be weird to others. Weird was a good TV show though.

How is that him talking over the crowd though? He's the one being interviewed/being asked a question?!?

And the crowd didn’t like the answers, so talking over the boos got him, or the Red Sox nowhere kind of like what you are trying to do now talking over the boos.

Is he, or is he not trying to talk over the boos raining down on him? If it makes it better for you that he was asked a question then fine, but it doesn’t change that he was talking over the boos, and the boo birds were right then, and are right now. B O O.

Also he trade Matt Barnes and his 5.48 ERA for Richard Bleier’s 5.85 ERA. A difference that adds up to the same amount of ER but Barnes pitching one more inning.

That seems fairly equal, too…

It is impossible to talk over someone else on a message board. Words seem to have no meaning to you.

I can't believe the Marlins tried to make him their closer.

Bloom has 100 dollars to spend at the supermarket. Bloom spends 50 of it on junk food that won't last, then overpays 25 for a giant rib roast, and the other 25 he spends on cheap canned goods.

He’s got a hundred to spend and needs 200 in groceries.

$100? How long is that supposed to last these days? I spent $150 yesterday only because we're leaving Thursday AM for vacation for 10 days. If I spend under $200, I've forgotten a few things.

Right, he's little poor boy Chaim.

Finally, you said it. Lol!

Look, I have agreed his percentage spent on starters was too low, he should have blown Eflin away with a multi year offer.

In hindsight, it does look like the O and pen did need spending, too, as well as the D.

You think he had enough to fill all our needs?

The first 2.5 years of his time here, the answer should be obvious. The last year, not so much, but still….

Two different ways of looking at things. You seem to be hung up on the words, and I’m hung up on the results.

Didn't you say we've been spending plenty? ;)

You are most definitely NOT hung up on RESULTS.

OPS by month:

April 576

May 766

June 848

821 OPS since 5/3. He's been a good hitter for almost 2 months now. Your "eye test" is just stuck in a box score from 1983.

No, but he buys the groceries.

I have never said he's done a great job. It's been a mixed bag.

I'd grade him out at a C+ if you include the farm. If you are just looking at the MLB roster it's a D+ for doormat.

I was talking about Bloom.

This we agree on, but if this is the best he can do after 4 years on the job he needs to go.

No, I said since the Stiry signing and counting the Devers extension, we are showing signs is repeating what JH has done several times, already.

We spent a ton from Story to Devers but lost a lot of salary and prior production, too.

If they had fired him after last season I would have agreed with it. I don't know if Henry will fire him or not.

If I was the owner of the Sox it would definitely be run differently.

Bloom is definitely not running the Red Sox... can't say he's walking them, either.

Meandering? Certainly, contorting them... but after four years, it's not so curleycute anymore.

Why should that matter? Results clearly don't matter to you.

Results do clearly matter to me with the most important the WL record of the big league club. I was against the Bloom signing from day 1.
