This season we will need a comedy team in the booth to keep the games interesting, especially on bullpen day.

Since you insist and your desires are beyond obvious, I have desired to reconsider and I WILL apply for the job after all...

Yeah, you seem like a real hoot. Maybe you could team up with Kimmi and discuss myths like “clutch” when the games get boring.

I like the way you think. And if this works out, I’m going to need of a good agent...

More pizza throwing, boob grabs and Remy mispronouncing Boegaerts.

Never really got the love for Orsillo. I thought he was kind of a chubby, cheerful, and decidedly inferior version of Sean McDonough.

personally i think he does a much better job then our current play by play guy.

Sean McDonough was better then either of them.

I agree that Orsillo is better than O'Brien.

NESN thought McDonough was making too much money back then. If I were O'Brien I would be looking over my shoulder since McDonough has his old gig at least part time at WEEI.

It really comes down to personal preference. McDonough was a great play by play guy, but was really dry and boring depending on the game. At least with Orsillo, you could have an announcing team that was interesting to listen to even if the game was dull. O'Brien is fine enough.

Nobody cares about that.

The most memorable thing to happen to the Sox in 2007.

They need to retire JC Romero's jersey just because of that clip.

It was the pairing of Orsillo with Remy that I really liked. Together, they are awesome.

People would pay big money to see that.

We should all be thankful that Remy is still with us, in more ways than one.

You guys would probably have Alex Speier on a lot, way more than he's on now.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist that joke. even though I know it leaves a huge opening for 700hitter to make some vicious crack about stat nerds with pocket protectors.)

Ha, definitely not the stat nerd some of you are, but one time did not use the pocket protector and sure enough got an ink stain on my shirt pocket. Foll me once, etc, etc.

Speier brings nothing to the broadcast except for Eck calling him Stat Masterson. He drones on about the obvious or the obscure, but never anything interesting. FTR, I have nothing against nerds, but I can't take boring.

Ha.

I would have an open invitation for Speier.
