Shiiit, if XB is gonna hit like he did yesterday, I’ll take him batting in the 3 hole. I think a lot of our hitters are interchangable though.

If Xander hits like he did yesterday, he'd do more damage in the 5 hole than he would in the 3 hole.

I like Devers 4th and Bogey 5th.

Where's that leave JD? second?

1) Betts

2) JD

3) HRam

4) Devers

5) Bogey

6) Beni

7) Nunez

8) Vaz

9) JBJ

That could work. Beni should maybe be even lower until he gets his swing back.

Maybe bat 6th vs RHPs and 7th ve LHPs.

If Beni wasn’t in a start of season funk, I’d argue with you. :)

Yeah that lineup looks fine with me too. Devers & XB look great at the plate right now. Devers even hitting into some bad luck on top of that fact. Vaz looks great. He was agressive last night and it paid off big time. HanRam had one of the best games on both sides of the ball. Last night is up there with one of the best games I’ve seen from Hanley in a Red Sox uni.

HRam on pace for 583 PAs and 32 HRs.

I’ll take it. And if Moreland hits 10 more we up to 42 from that 1B spot.

I am good with JD batting 2nd.

In the 13th inning of last nights game after hanley’s Two run hit, I saw Bradley turn to JD and say “so that is what a hit looks like.”

JD replied, “what’s a hit?”

I also saw Bradley ask JD "how much did Boras convince you you were worth"?

Kimmi, S&C, InfernoOrange, CP, Thunder, Jad, FJ, and I are probably the only Red Sox fans on the planet hoping HanRam has a monstah season and his option vests.

HanRam is a class act and a great ballplayer. he is what every player should try and be. great attitude, loves the game, loves the fans, will do whatever his manager asks him to do without a single peep, and is not afraid of the spotlight.

I hope he vests.

Nope, I like Hanley and hope he does well enough to vest his option.

If he does that and JD starts hitting, this will be one very good lineup.

I'll let the FO worry about the money.

if 1 more year of HanRam contract prevents us from signing multiple years of POM/Kimbrell then EFF DD & Commander Data.

but i think they will ignore it for next year to get who they want signed...signed.

It will be at year two rates and penalties. The over $40M penalty kicks in, and the following season will be really tough to keep whoi we want (Sale/Bogey...)

I can live without Pom ....But BIG RED I'd sit Hanley down starting Sunday lol

I'd like to see Pom traded when his stock is high. He feels like the next Buchholz to me.

Keeping Kimbrel is a must.

One more I'm afraid for you. I like the team in general a helluva lot more than I do Hanley but none the less I'll be pulling for him because of how he could help this team. if he plays well, his vesting option is meaningless to me because I think that it will mean that our team will be in the midst of a great season. I like to win.

O.k. Would you trade that for a World Series Championship in 2018?

Add me to that list. I've always loved him, even before he came back here.

I seriously doubt HRam will be an essential player in a championship run, but if he's needed that much, I'd change my mind.

Besides, playoff PAs don't count on the vesting option.

I'd love Hanley more if he wasn't a negative WAR player who was paid $20M/season.

He's at +0.2 so far this year- on pace for +6.4.
