  1. On the other hand, Max is older than the 3-eyed raven, so.. IDK?
  2. I think BosSox should sign Keuchel (has to be cheaper than Kimbrel) and move Eovaldi to bp/closer... just for this year.
  3. I like Paxton, always have. But he ain't never been the epitome of health. And the move from Safeco to Yankee stadium can't really help him, right(?). His career away era is close to whole point higher on top of all that. He's a nice pick up, don't get me wrong, but he's no savior. I swear I thought CC went out to pasture, both figuratively and literally ( he likes to graze). He back for more abuse huh?
  4. I saw that. Good stuff!
  5. Any chance does FA linger like last year?
  6. Get out o' town... REALLY? Never knew that. LOL
  7. Anyone a tiny bit surprised Harper and f***face Machado still haven't signed yet?
  8. Sorta true. We certainly can't develop SP but we do trade for it. We traded for Porcello (initially), Eovaldi (initially), ERod, Sale, Wright. We bought Price. We bought DiceK. We bought Lackey. Traded for Pedro. Traded for Schilling. Right? It's been a mixed bag I think.
  9. And he'll be their setup man most likely.
  10. I have! Lol haha! And I’ve astounded myself. It’s usually pretty difficult to self-astound.
  11. Ha! LAD trading Piug & Kemp & Wood for Bailey and some minor leaguers. It would be pretty funny if someone else swooped in right now and signed Harper right out from underneath them.
  12. I was thinking more Werth than Scherzer of course.
  13. It’s high, but Sanchez DID have a bounce back season. And it’s the Nats. They’re not known as some brilliant team that are always smart with their money.
  14. This depends on where any particular BP is at, for me anyway. If the likelihood that our BP would give up another run regardless (or is it irregardless? Oh no! Not that again) it could just be a wash for me.
  15. To this day I have a problem with the Abreu signing. I’m mean, we’re were in the middle of the playoffs/World Series. It was at the very least a bit awkward to be put in that position.
  16. I know it won’t happen but I’d love Tulo on our team. Our infield seems to always be a injury concern or question mark is some way. Adding depth there or even stacking depth there in this case seems justified.
  17. I disagree, but I'll tell you why though. I happen to value spectacular up the middle defense ( maybe more so than most) and XB is less than spectacular. Offense-wise, you're right, he would be hard to replace. Also, Betts is 3XGG winner in RF and our RF is tougher than most. Betts seems like a consistent 30/30 and perennial MVP candidate. I love Bogey, don't get me wrong, but as far as absolutely must keep and retire a Red Sox, Betts is my guy.
  18. But did you happen to notice or remember how absolutely s***** Mookie's strike zone was this past post season? It was abysmal. He struck out looking on many pitches that you wouldn't want him swinging at to begin with ( or any of our batters for that matter ). 6in -10in out of the zone. It truly was the worst part about our post season, umps giving Mookie zero respect and it really took him out of his game, not surprisingly. So, I'm not sure how much weight I can honestly put on his playoff numbers compared to his and JDM's overall numbers. It is close though, I just give Betts the edge. The main thing is that both are good enough to hit to all fields, they don't have to swing for the fences at every AB.
  19. Since mid-November, before trading for Cano/Diaz, they were listening to offers for Syndergaard. The rumors have been all over the board, from not ruling out a Syndergaard trade, and a trade seemingly in play, to seriously considering, and increasing indication they’d prefer to trade him. Just because a deal hasn’t been made doesn’t mean much. I think they’re crazy for even putting it out there but that could just be me.
  20. It’s how that 3 team trade consisting of Realmuto came about. Did they announce it in a press conference or something? No. They don’t have to. They have other channels to leak info.
  21. Well, yeah that trade looked like total s*** for them. Why announce he’s on the block to begin with?
  22. The more good hitters a team has in their lineup, the less it matters imho. For some of us it’s a pet peeve. It’s baseball equivalent to feng shui. Something feels off & I don’t like it. It may not be that important, but still.
