The 1998 Yankees may have been the best team I've ever seen. Interestingly, I don't recall them having the #1 player in any position.

You must of unearthed the old Chart.

Good work.

Btw, the crazy thing about both team’s starts is that both teams should still be undefeated

Depends on how you look at it. We only scored 10 runs in the Tampa series. The pitching just had 1 bad inning.

I agreed with everything you said up until this point. Jacko doesn't have thousands of troll posts. He has thousands of insufferable posts, which is quite different. He is intelligent and very good at debating baseball, he's just incredibly obnoxious sometimes. He was always going to be irritating, though, because he's a Yankees fan. We should all be thankful that he's also capable of upright locomotion and coherent speech. Anyone who has been to Yankee Stadium knows that's not always a given.

Well folks it's that time of year ...nashing of teeth fingernails bitten and indigestion on a good day ...yea here we are ...We have played teams in FL thus far ...I would be telling tales if I was to say I'm confident ....I'm not yet ...I don't think they are either ...Both these teams have yet to hit stride and both these teams are really going the distance this year .Yes it's Yankee week and although I'm not confident I'm hopeful and I just want it to be epic both fan bases have waited awhile for both teams to be at this level ....Yeah it's here strap it up and let's go .ohhhh who am I kidding Yaaaaaaankeeeeessss suuuuuuuuuuck Edited by Natick to NC

I like how espn said baseball is better when the yankees are dominant. No, it's not.

Ridiculous thing to say when you have the sox, dodgers, cubs, etc.

Does Lin play SS ? Or holt ?

Holt will get the majority of the run (at 2b/ss). Lin will play here and there as a fill in.

And you can also argue the Red Sox should have lost 2 of the 3 games this past weekend. Both teams have reasons to be happy. What matters now is how the team (and individual players) are performing. The record is not important. (within reason)

perception is reality. Anakin said it best...to me the jedi are evil.

Gary Sanchez needs to feel some seams up under his ear flap tonight. Porcello has the stones to do it, possibly 2nd at bat to save the bullpen a little.

Unless warnings are issued prior the game. Porcello has to go some distance tonight. Wouldn't be shocked to see Poyner sent down for the minimum time and another reliever brought up just to have another arm.

Owning your pitching is not grounds for getting beaned in the head. If that was the case then Joe Kelly would have to pelt half the league.

I've been muttering to myself since last year that Sanchez needs to be knocked off the plate by Sox pitching (not beaned, knocked off the plate). Waaaay too comfortable up there.

Nothing wrong with moving the batter off the plate, but if they hit him, we'll have another fight tonight

Poyner is on the DL. Walden was called up.

Watching quick pitch, stifling a yawn and then BOOM! Yanks/Sox brawl. Boys, I love this s***. That burly kid came at my boy and Joe motioned: "come on"! :)
