Sup guys. Navafan29 here, though I may change my name to [something Else]fan29, as I refuse to have a member of the Tampa Bay Rays in my name.

I think home teams are 2 and 6 in wild card games so far... I'm terrified of going to one of those gimmick games now.

Lester Vs Lackey in the playoffs tomorrow! How often do you get to see stuff like this!?? Everyone has to watch. Would be funny if David Ross caught Lester. I believe there are 18 ex-Red Sox players participating in the playoffs this year.

I will be rooting for the Cardinals thoughout the playoffs, as I always do when the Sox aren't in it. Yeah the Cardinals always get in the playoffs, but I'm not the type to hate a team just because they're always good. The Cardinals are always on top in the right fashion and for the right reasons, unlike the Yankees. St. Louis fans are the last city that likes baseball better than football, which is something I can really get behind; the fans deserve to have their team win the division every year, because they actually care a ton about baseball nonstop, unlike most fans of other teams who mainly watch football and only care about baseball when their team is in the World Series or when they attend a game. I love how smart the Cardinals organization is at keeping the team consistent, unlike other teams who can't stop sporadically going up and down. The Cards use a mix of farm system, giving fan favorites good contracts, and moneyball to keep consistently good.

I don't think St. Louis is the only city where they love baseball more than football. I think San Francisco, New York, Boston, and Detroit, at the very least, all qualify for that. I hear far more about the Giants than the 49ers from online fans, and I have a lot of experience with visiting Boston, New York, and Detroit, and in all three cities I hear and see far more about baseball than football. Especially New York, as much as it pains me to say it. I see more people wearing Mets stuff in the offseason, never mind Yankees stuff, than I do the Giants or Jets (honestly, who admits to being a Jets fan anyways?).

Besides, don't you think that maybe the baseball fandom in St. Louis might have a bit to do with the fact that the Cardinals have a history of success both long-term and recent, and the Rams are...well, you know, the Rams?

Tomo Lackey vs Lester. I still can't believe we let them walk, just like that.

It will very fun to watch. I will root the Cubs in that game and for the rest of the POs. I like their fans.

As I watch this game, it kind of bothers me they left too. Makes me wonder how different the season would have been.

I want to know what Henry thinks about Boston starting pitching right now.

Toronto is f***ed.

Yes, it's amazing how fast the chicken salad can turn to chickenshit. Price was completely out of sorts in the first game.

He has been s*** in Octobers.

And Lackey continues to come up big in October.

Of course no one listens to me when I say the Sox should grab him.

I bet he'd come back for 2 / 36-40.

I could make it happen if given the opportunity.

Actually, sk7326 has also promoted signing Lackey, and I am on board too. Make it happen!

I would love to have Lackey back.

By the way Lackey is now 8-5 with a 2.90 ERA in the postseason.

Kershaw and Price are a combined 1-12 in the postseason.

Kershaw 1-6 with a 4.99 NL postseason ERA

Price 1-6 with a 4.79.

Yes I think Lackey may be worth resigning...

So, what does everyone think of the leg-breaking slide?

I think that it was legal ( within the rules ).

The fielder had his back turned in the process of pivoting. That is why he got hurt.

Unfortunate . But s*** happens.

The slide was borderline. Even though he went over the bag, he did not slide until he was past the bag. I think he could have been called out for obstruction, but it was borderline. As for the reversal of the call, I didn't see that there was clear evidence to support reversal whether or not the neighborhood play was in effect.

And how it can turn back to chicken salad just as quickly.

The game is not over yet, but it appears that the Jays will force a game 5.

IMO, advantage back to the Jays.

I have nothing against bringing Lackey back, but you are assuming that he'd want to come back. I don't think he would.

It might have been borderline as far as being within the rules, but IMO, it was bush league and dirty. You don't wait until you're at the bag to slide. That was more of a tackle than a slide. Utley has a reputation for questionable slides.

He and his teammates are lucky that they are in the post season and that Collins is being smart about this. He has instructed Harvey not to retaliate, which is a wise decision considering the magnitude of the game.

Oh wat? The KC Zombies.

It appears that both AL division series are headed for a game 5. If I were a fan of any of the 4 AL teams, I'd be a nervous wreck. But since I'm not, this is great stuff. Go baseball!

You could be right.

But maybe not? This is why I suggest that I negotiate with him. I would appeal to his sense of vanity and greed. He'd be itching to come back.

Also, I doubt the Card pony up to resign him. And I doubt that many other teams would be willing to be as generous with him.

I am pissed that I can not see games on the MLB Network.

It seems very stupid and short sided of MLB to eliminate such a large chunk of it's potential audience during the highest point of it's season.

Dumb.

I suppose if the offer is one he couldn't refuse, he'd come back.

I give you permission to negotiate with him.

That really is kind of stupid.

This has to be the first time in a while that none of the 4 division series ended with sweeps.

Wouldn't it be cool if all four series went 5 games? I wonder when the last time that happened was.
